So, if the TB votes YES....then they cow-towed and are not the GREAT government for the people....

Whose pockets is getting filled???

Ask the last administration that same question!!!
Ya just can't have it both ways.

You know what????

You can bring up the past and criticize.....but maybe all should remember....when the Town runs out of money...who will be

having the egg on their faces....AND.....3 deputies in the Clerk's office.....that's what should be criticized...

CVS belongs in a place accessible to clientele...not in a residential area where they WANT to go...

Remember the residents spoke up to WalMart...and they won....that's what is needed to be done...not more mud slinging

new REGIME...concentrate on what they will do....... behavior of the DEMS is an indicator of things to come.

The point is ............... the last liberal/dem administration did the exact same thing when it came to zoning/planning boards and new development. The clerks office is another issue....mixing apples and oranges here.

The paper said they agreed to pay 75,000 more taxes, isn't that a good thing?  Don't you think 4 corners would be very accessible to clientele?

That's the trouble BT...WE QUESTION....THEY CONFUSE...

The issue is not mixing anything.....it's because there is no method to anyone's madness.....that's the answer...

getting across to residents is not easy.....they are impressed with what they want to hear.....and don't read between the lines.

Nice to have medals and uniform, pensions, perks, etc...,..plain old businessman tried and didn't succeed.   I remember those

meetings....nothing but a circus in public and behind closed doors....they all threw a perfectly money wise person under the bus.

and everyone is still doing it....It's not about FDG....it's about the mindset in Rotterdam...hasnt changed and never will...

Tunnel vision and no vision.....and the Regime is just "KEEPING UP THE SAME OL' STORY.///WITH THE SAME OL' MATES

What are they paying now?
What PILOT will they be granted?
What new business EVER pays 100% in taxes?
Has Walmart ever reached their full assessment?

Bottom line is that CVS has let this building in rotterdam all but collapse!! They NEVER did anything for the town or it's residents up to this date. They  moved out of rotterdam (hamburg st) and there yet stands a vacant building. The same will happen at 5 corners. The 4 corners location has had broken windows and siding blowing in the wind for years and years. And the billboard frame is another added beauty!!

If the empty box on hamburg street and the sh!thole at 4 corners is any indication of what a good neighbor cvs would be......and the rotterdam  tb approves it......then rotterdamians get what they 'elected'.

And dropping another 'big box' at one of the busiest and most congested areas in rotterdam.....is clearly irresponsible and would once again prove the lack of vision in rotterdam!!

Again - CVS Doesn't own the building.

So, no business can ever open, or close?   Why not  blame the property owner for the vacant building?

Again - they don't own 4 corners .. they would like to come in and develop the property, but it seems yall have a thing for Rite Aid (which was ok to build in a residential area.

I don't believe, but I could be wrong, they own the building at 5 corners, they're just occupants.  I'd have to check that property record.   The property on Broadway, which they also do not own, was improved by the property owner, not the CVS company.

I thought cvs owned that (seems to be implied in the paper) so if not who is the owner?

It's technically owned by a developer FOR CVS.  Once the CVS building is complete, they sell it back to the developer and lease it from them for $x/yr.

They're currently paying taxes on $380,000 assessed value ... pretty significant, but only a portion of what they COULD be paying on a new building.

None of the nayboobs have opinions that MATTER since none of you live in that neighborhood, nor are any of you to be taken serious as community members of good repute..  The RESIDENTS of that district have chosen to cast their votes for ALL of the members of the Democratic Town Board so it is implicit that they TRUST the current Town Board to make the RIGHT decisions regarding this matter -- furthermore the entire Town Electorate has chosen the Democratic Party to make the RIGHT decisions and this matter effects the ENTIRE Town.
