Can someone tell me exactly WHY I should vote for Romney and not Obama....other than Romeny has an 'R' after his name?? REALY!!!!!

Romney is far from conservative as is obama. Romney doesn't take a stand on ANYTHING....while OBAMA takes a stand on EVERYTHING.......agree or not!! Bush I, Bush II, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Johnson...etc..........

THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!!!! This country would be exactly where it is today no matter WHO was president!! The 'system' won't allow anything else!!!

This country is far from a democracy!! We are all just sheople being led by the nose by the lame stream media/government 'system'!!

The conservatives paint obama as a demon........while the libs paint conservatives as a demon!!! Divide and conquer.... WAKE UP FOLKS!!

So again I ask.......why should I want to vote for romney????

Romney is at least more of a moderate/centrist compared to Obama.  That is why he will have my vote.

Read carefully, I wrote that he is MORE of a centrist that Obama.  When Senator Obama was running in the primaries in 2008, I correctly pegged him as unprepared to handle the office and as way too liberal.  That is why I voted for John McCain instead.  I do not regret that decision.   Nor do I believe I will regret my decision to endorse, support and vote for  Mitt Romney in 2012.

And don't try to sell me on voting for some libertarian -- In my opinion, the only thing worse than an extreme liberal is a libertarian.  I never met a libertarian that was at least 28 cards short of a full deck -- IMHO.

you know that ROMNEY has outraised Obama so far...right? He is also the one that claims not extending the tax reform for the wealthy (and only the lower income middle class) wil lhurt "small business" and damage the economy further. How about we just ask them to pay the same amount in $$$$ that an average middle income person does.....SORRY, but the rich look out for the rich and Romney is defeinately richer.....so vote for MITT and you know what will happen.....and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Don't get me wrong...not saying Obama is successful at improving our lives, but with MITT baby I cannot believe we even have a chance unless we are already RICH, RICH, RICH !!!!

Don't agree on "more", 'cause I see no evidence to sustain that.
As for McCain, I'll give you that one. Would have voted for him too...was planning on it...then PALIN!!!!  What was he thinking???? Showed stupid decision making process; made me skeptical about his advisors and his decision making capabilities. And let's face it, when you vote for the Pres and VP, you are voting for both being leaders of our country in event of something happening...so PALIN as PRES...PULEEEZE.... SDorry, John...had a lot of respect for you but lost it overnight with the PALIN choice.  BAD MOVE BUDDY !!!!

IMHO - Biden was not that great a choice for VP.  I believe the only other member of the Senate who was as liberal in their voting record was Biden.  Besides, Biden had been caught plagiarizing speeches, lying about events that supposedly happened in his life and making numerous stupid comments.

Personally, I had and still have greater respect for Sarah Palin than I ever had for Joe Biden.  Was she a good VP nominee?  That is debatable and we will never know how she would have performed in that office.  Frankly, I think she was badly treated by the press, the Democrats and even McCain's own staff --- mainly because she was a woman and a conservative who was unafraid to speak her mind.

I will say this about Mrs. Palin - she has the courage to stand up for her beliefs unlike many other politicians who sway in the wind.  For some reason, I keep thinking of a particular Federal legislator who was one of the most conservative members of the House one year and then became one of the most liberal members of the Senate the next year.  I much prefer (and would sooner vote for) Mrs. Palin's strong convictions (even if I disagree with some of her positions) than to vote for a politician who is a "human weathervane" (at best).

I thought McCain choosing a woman as VP was a good decision.  There were many capable women in the GOP, and
perhaps a few outside of the GOP that would have made a difference in his campaign.
McCain's numbers got an immediate boost with Palin... but then, the more America found out about Palin,
the worse it got.  All candidates have their plus and minus points.  Other than with the TeaBaggers (who
would have voted for McCain anyways) Palin was a total minus.

Palin when preparing for a debate on the issue of Saddam Hussein, came out with... "Saddam attacked us on
Sept 11th."  She really thought it was true, and had to be convinced that it wasn't.

Turning to this election.  The GOP has always had a "women vote" problem.  Choosing the 'right' woman
as VP might help The Mitt in November.

OMG! Talk about being "out of touch" with the middle class...

"It's really American to avoid paying taxes, legally."

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), arguing that Mitt Romney shouldn't be criticized for using off-shore tax havens.

DVOR and BOX...fair statements, even though I don't totally agree. My point about PALIN....she did not and stil does not have the tools to lead this nation. Picking a woman for VP during McCain's campaign was a strategic move, and a bad one. The intent was to sway the CLINTON vote...those that were not happy she did not get the nominatin. McCain camp thought it was an opprtunity to steal votes based on gender...and it backfired. I stil respect Mr. McCain beucase of his service and sacrifice....but would no longer vote for him in any capacity as a result of his poor decision making based on "flash" instead of concern for the American people.

PS - DVOR, do you support that a political figure, specifically a potential Presidential candidate, having offshore financial accounts and investments is a good choice for helping to turn around our economy?

PPS - Biden is not great but much better than Palin becuase he at least had much more expereince and some political alliances that could benefit legislative advances.

Dem. Chair Invested in Swiss Banks, Foreign Drug Companies, and the State Bank of India
11:55 AM, Jul 10, 2012 • By DANIEL HALPER

Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past.
DWS

"Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?" the DNC chair, a chief surrogate for President Obama's reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday two days ago. "Just something, a thought, that I'd like to leave folks with."

It's been a consistent theme of Obama's reelection strategy: Attack Romney for foreign investments he held, especially in Swiss bank accounts, "to try to promote his wealthy, out-of-touch businessman persona."

But disclosure forms reveal that in 2010, Wasserman Schultz invested between $1,001-$15,000 in a 401k retirement fund run by Davis Financial Fund. As the fund discloses, it is invested in the Julius Baer Group Ltd. and the State Bank of India GDR Ltd., as well as other financial, insurance, bank institutions.
All this comes in addition to Wasserman Schultz's refusal to disclose her own tax returns, despite continuously calling on Romney to do so. http://www.weeklystandard.com/.....nk-india_648350.html

Personally, I don't think McCain was the strongest possible GOP candidate in 2008 and his campaign was in trouble long before he selected Mrs. Palin as his running mate.  I agree he probably picked her because she was a woman -- but then one could say that the Democrats just nominated Obama because he was African-American.  They certainly didn't nominate him based on his actual resume (which was leaner than Palin's) or his great legislative accomplishments (as far as I can tell he had NO legislative accomplishments between his state and federal service prior to his nomination -- at least Palin had accomplishments as governor to show the voters).   The fact that McCain and his staff tried to blame Palin for the defeat was IMHO classless and conduct unbecoming of a real man.   McCain should just have admitted he ran a lousy national campaign and that he could have picked a better team to run that campaign.

As for voting for a candidate with off-shore investments -- he wouldn't be the first American president to have had off-shore investments nor will he be the last.  I just don't think America can afford 4 more years of Obama and his "neo-liberal"/extremist agenda. So I will gladly vote for Governor Romney instead.
