If they are, they'll match the current VP

No argument from me on that.

It's like when girls find a fat chick to hang out with them, so they look thinner.

It is also a tradition to have a numbskull stand beside you to make you appear smarter.

I'm hoping for one more round of Palin.  She killed McCain's chances... hopefully she'll do the same for The Mitt!

Of ones I do know about, the only candidate that could do that would be Haley and Jindal.
Jindal, even though he is intelligent, he has a very hard time communicating that, and Haley, because, well. my feeling she is the last GOP woman to benefit from the initial Palin effect.

The unemployment rate and job growth numbers from September and October will determine the winner in November.
What the SCOTUS decides on Obamacare will hurt each party equally...

Gasoline below $3.00 a gallon might have some impact as well.

A barrel of crude has been in freefall  for quite a while now, closing around $79 today.

The price is down a whopping 20 percent since March. It takes a little while for it to trickle down at the pumps, but another 20 percent would put gasoline at about $2.70 per gallon.

Obviously the price is being manipulated for specific motives, but hey, take it while you can get it.

Crude oil price history:

Sep 14, 2007      $79.10
May 23, 2008      $132.19
Jul 04, 2008      $145.29
Dec 31, 2008      $44.60
Jan 16, 2009      $36.51
May 20, 2011      $100.10
Apr 27, 2012      $104.93
Jun 22, 2012      $79.76

Romney needs a woman... ANY WOMAN!

If The Mitt can't reverse the trend of women for Obama, he cannot win key battle ground states in November.
A woman VP, would be a good start.

Quoted Text
Obama leads Romney 51 to 42 percent in the latest USA Today/Gallup poll of 12 swing states that was
released Monday. Romney holds a one-point lead among men in the poll, but trails with women by
18 points.

Marco Rubio would be a great VP candidate and so would Pat Toomey from Pennsylvania.

Also, Palin may have had her weaknesses but she was not responsible for McCain's defeat -- McCain was a horrible campaigner, his campaign staff was a bunch of bumbling fools ... and the fact remains that McCain was losing to Obama by much more BEFORE Palin was nominated -- if anything she helped make the race a bit closer than it may have otherwise been.

Furthermore, I would add that there is a concerted effort on the part of the biased liberal media to disparage conservatives.   Palin was not and is not a stupid person.  She did a heck of job as Governor of Alaska.  Quite frankly, the Extremist Neo-liberal wing of the Democratic Party had to resort to a blatantly SEXIST "media lynching" of Mrs. Palin.  I for one am ashamed and embarrassed of the obviously over-the-top campaign of personal destruction launched against Mrs. Palin by the Extremist Neo-liberal wing of the Democratic.

Then they wonder why so many moderate and conservative Democrats vote for Republicans over the out of touch wackos that the Extremist Neo-liberal wing of our party forces on us.

Maybe it's time for term limits, and a cap on the politicians salary/benefits for starters.

The fact that DVOR is for Marco Rubio makes me rethink the fact that he would be a good idea.  As far as Pat Toomey, I'm not totally sure on him.

There already ARE term limits, at least for President.  As far as salaries and benefits, the issue is the fact that those who get the benefits are the same ones that vote on them.

Why?  Marco Rubio is a solid conservative candidate and would help win over Hispanic voters and help deliver Florida which is one of the key swing states in November.

Pat Toomey is a solid conservative -- very popular in Pennsylvania which is also a swing state in the November election --- and I can say that when I heard him speak 2 years ago, he impressed me very much.

Why?

Because of the source.  Any time I find myself starting to agree with you, I have to check if I'm really following my own beliefs, considering yours are generally the other end of the spectrum.  It's not personal, no, it is, forget that.
