Sal you forget that John was the assessor when GAR did the reval and John didn't do his job or he would have caught the errors and had them corrected IMHO.

Exactly. There were many many people who went to John with taxes way out of wack. He did nothing and referred everyone to GAR. He said that he had nothing to do with it.

Well, what the hell were we paying him for then?

And I believe the GAR thing was Paolino's baby...not tommasones.

What are we paying Mr. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise for???  Oh let me think....could it be to lower all Steve T. gumbas assessments, or maybe to publicly wack around Mecekja and GAR or how about lowering Steve's bro's Dan assessment.? How bout sending Mr. Surprisssseee to anger management counseling on the town's dime? Was that GAR and John's fault too?  How about the increse in Della Villa's school tax rate at Schalmont or Salamone's school tax rate at Mohon?  Was that GAR and Mecejeka fault too???

Whose law firm reviewed the contract before it was signed by John P, Marco and Holly???  Was that Mecejeka???  It was Gerry Parisi and his sidekick Soccocio.  You Steve T. gumbas on this board are losing the reval steam day by day.  The real problems in Rotterdam are taxes, taxes and taxes,  spend , spend, spend all under Steve T. watch.  Stick a fork in em.  He loses!!!!

There's enough blame to go around for all the players involved. What John P, Macejka, and Gar have done they must be held accountable for and what Steve T and company have done with taxes and funds that were earmarked for one project then used for another project without the taxpayers knowledge they will have to be held accountable for their mistakes as well. I would love to see some fresh candidates on a third party ticket run in the primaries and on Nov 7 to give the taxpayer a real choice to get away from the business as usual crowd.

What examples can you provide of funds being misappropriated?  I have heard of instances in which the Supervisor autonomously approved expenditures that were not supported by the town board members.  I am interested to hear of specific examples that may not be known to the taxpayers.  If these reports are true, he must be held accountable.

I agree. We will never hear these things from the gazette....so I guess we should hear them here. It is time to hold our elected officials accountable and transparent.

Ya know, I voted for tommasone both times thinking that he would make good on the promises that he campaigned on 8 years ago. I voted for him the 2nd time thinking that he needed more time. I am beginning to wonder now.

Where is the comp plan? Where is the Rotterdam Jct. water tower? What is really being done with the curry rd shopping plaza? What is really being done with Masullo ests? How's Hamburg St coming along?

I, along with others have waited giving our elected officials time to undo decades of mismanaged government. But what have we actually seen accomplished except for a ton of studies and the proposed creation of a taxing district for an ambulance corps?

And believe me...Godlewski is CLEARLY not the answer here!!!! He would only add to the problem for sure. I second the motion fora third party candidate. Then perhaps the dems, reps and cons would regroup and work for the taxpayers and not for personal positioning and party affiliation.

Last year there was about $250,000 set aside to be used to correct Masullo Estates water problems. Those funds have been spent on who knows what because it was never divulged to we the people and now the whole expense for Masullo Estates  will have to be fully funded by the town. I don't know if the funds were misappropriated but they were not used as originally intended or what was told to we the people by the Town Board when the funds were set aside.

Why don't you just FOIL for the info. Or call 'stevie' directly? Then you could inform all of us.

Don't need a whipping boy, if the shoe fits whoever is responsible will have to wear it Rep or Dem. Macejka had nothing to do with this.

I agree with shadow. But like I've said before...there is more than enough blame to go around. They have ALL been compromised.

Let's face it.....the re-val should have been done long before GE started to shrink(or shirk) it's growth in the county......so here we are in the present/
future and only our shortsightedness and ourselves to blame......as for who is getting the 'greasy deal',,,there are always those at the watering
hole lookin' for the cheap/freebies......it's just a matter of them either thinking they deserve it and are better or are just too damned cheap themselves
making their own measuring stick......those folks have to sleep with themselves and they will still end up wrinkled like the rest of us....they
will always avoid the mirror.........
