A great BBQ place must have great music and entertainment  --- and to my mind that means good ole pure country music.

The title of King of Country Music has to be a toss up between Mr. George Strait, Mr. Johnny Cash, Mr. David Alan Coe, Mr. Alan Jackson and, of course, Mr. Willie Nelson ..
and title of the Queen of Country Music has to be a toss up between Miss Dolly Parton, Miss Loretta Lynn and Miss June Carter Cash.

I look forward to relaxing---and sitting down with a fine brisket sandwich (hold the sauce LET ME TASTE THE MEAT), delicious macaroni and cheese with a touch of pimento, sweet cornbread and a large cold mug of ale, while I dream of southern lassies, hometown hospitality, and good times of days gone by--- when the hustle and bustle of modern life didn't intrude so much on the lives of Americans...A simpler and better time.

Ahhhhh, if only we could be rid of the Naybobs and the chattering of little whining losers to make my meal more enjoyable!

Mike G (shares the last name with the "one whose name we shall not speak"), southern ladies are referred to as "belles" not "lassies" ...   and it is N-a-y-b-o-o-b-s  .... and you aren't getting any great BBQ brisket as long as you hang out with Frank and Bob.

I think DV actually used the term "NAYBOBS" and now wants to pretend he is a different poster so he has to "correct" Gertrude.

Very intersting how two different people continue to use similar if not exact same catch phrases!!!!

I am well aware of the original quotation --- and for about 12 months .. I have used my own version  Nattering NAYBOOBS of Negativity  ---- so once again YOU ARE WRONG.

I only had time for a quick visit (basically just a few minutes) to Beale Street and that was too early in the morning for BBQ.  Personally, I like a fairly wide variety of music including the blues ...  but I prefer country music.

Someday, I'd like to drive along the Mississippi River from Minnesota to Louisiana -- to really experience Old Man River, M-Town and the Big Easy.

I have spent considerable late night time on Beal. Yes, eaten at BBK's. Great experiences. Any lover of the Blues must pay homage.
