Harry and his family members are knocking down nearly a quarter million dollars in County government retirement and salary. They are part of the reason taxes are sooooo high.  Do the Democrats realize how silly and transparent this "lower taxes party" gimmick is?

It seems that the wannabe's run on the "I am going to lower your taxes" lie....Hasn't happened yet
so maybe they should stop making promises they can't keep.

All you have to do is ask yourself the question, who was in control when the taxes started to and continued to go up?

FDG pulled the same stunt. Then he raised taxes by a record amount. The past two years with the all DEM funny farm has made the town even a bigger joke than the City. If possible. Tax everything that moves and propose idiotic parks, police stations and rec centers.

Working together to screw every business and taxpayer. And the same idiots want you to vote for police consolidator HB, re-elect WC and recycle Excusi? Stick to the DEM rose garden strategy and don't come out the bushes until after Election Day.

That's a plus-it means Brian is against consolidation and Stratton's stunad County police. Again no answer on whether HB supports you and Stratton on consolidation of the RPD into a countywide force. Brian supports an independent RPD and is against a new $14 MILLION police station. He was against the REMS tax that you supported. As far as HB he supported consolidation of the SPD into the County Sheriffs. The DEM Rose Garden strategy is coming apart as people look at HB's past statements.

Well -- we know that McGarry has promised to disband the police department on his 1st day as supervisor --- those were his words.

And if McGarry can not comprehend the FACT that the current police station/justice court is in horrendous shape---  than he has absolutely no good sense at all -- no one can walk through that building and honestly say that it doesn't need to be replaced.

As for the Ambulance District and REMS --- I supported the district .. because it would fund a necessary public service that I place high value on.   I will NEVER apologize for or waiver in my support for a TOWN-BASED NOT FOR PROFIT  ambulance squad like REMS.

On the way home from work today I stopped at Krause's...Ron is right! Their candy is absolutely delicious... Oh, and the people there are a lot friendlier than that other place in Schenectady! I highly recommend them!

and Saratoga Sweets is good, too --- but we only go there right before Christmas -- especially for their peppermint pigs

Making attacks on the family members of elected officials and candidates is lowest, most vulgar form of behavior ... and has NO PLACE in an election campaign.   Cicero, slither back into the hole you came out of.

Neither McGarry or anyone else has any ability to disband a Police Department on their own.  You are talking doo doo, and everyone knows it.  The condition of the Police Station may be in disrepair, but how that impacts an officer's ability to do his/her job is highly speculative and questionable.  Lastly, your opinion on the Ambulance District is moot since it has already been addressed by the property tax paying residents!  But I can at least see your point, if you keep eating those peppermint pigs, I can see why you would be so concerned about ambulance service . . . .

Attacks on family members?  They are public employees.  Schenectady County taxpayers pay their salaries.  IT IS PUBLIC INFORMATION.  The taxpayers of Rotterdam not only have the right, but are obligated to know the background of the candidates that will be in charge of spending their money.  Remember, blood is always thicker than water.  It would be irresponsible for voters not to consider candidates relationships inside government.

Voters need to be informed before walking into the voting booth in November.  This is just some of the information voters need to be equipped with before making a fully informed decision.

#1 - explain your first point to McGarry -- HE made the statement  ..not me.  He is tho one that dosn't have a clue as to what a supervisor can and can't do

#2 - the police department/justice court is in bad shape .. it is not adequate for the purpose that it is being used for  .....     if you'd like  -- we can have some 4 year olds explain that to you

#3 - I didn't bring up the REMS/Ambulance district issue ... your fellow Nattering Nayboobs did  -- they think it is a threat to bring the issue up.    I don't -- I stand by my decision to support REMS and to support the ambulance district.    I believe that the negative vote for the tax district was among the worst decisions made by the residents of our town.    (Democracy only means that the majority rules -- not that the majority is correct/right)
My reasons for supporting REMS are personal -- I would much rather maintain an IN TOWN ambulance service with its roots in the volunteer/community service tradition.    My grandfather founded a similar service in his hometown over 60 years ago  and there is a real value to community-based institutions  where people are willing to give their lives   (as my grandfather did) in service to the community .. rather than some cold, obscure for-profit business that is only concerned with making huge profits for themselves.
#4 - since everyone at the table shares the one peppermint pig (per the tradition) ... it is hardly going to cause adverse health conditions

He must be real proud of you, considering you have made nothing of your life.

Still no published positions from the Supervisor wannabee.  Rotterdam residents want to know "Where's Harry?"

Hopefully, he will receive his script before the debates.
