There was a committee formed to resolve the water problems in Masullo Estates and has anything been done yet? The speed at which the town fixes it's problems is mind boggling and at this rate all the problems will be resolved by 3010.

politics 102 Rotterdam:

you will learn to form a committe to vote on members of the new committe to study the next committe who will be investigating the problem and when the solutions are gathered there will be another committe to vote on the solutions only to make another committe to decide who gets to perform the service, and there will be a lab once a week on press releases and each student will have a chance to exercise their jaw......

I have yet to see ANY committee formed in this town to make a difference...past or present! And let us not forget that not only are the dems fighting the reps but the dems and the reps are also fighting among themselves. And the conservs hanging in the balance run by the cops with their own agenda. It is a sad state of affairs in our county. Hamburg Street is far from their view along with many other areas. I think it is time to jump ship and get out of Rotterdam.

What happened.......... it DIED !!!!!!!

“We’re not going to let them forget about it,” he said. “We’re not going to let this die.”
Business owners have called for a greater police presence, improved lighting, and perhaps even a sewer hookup, which many cite as the underlying reason Hamburg Street has fallen behind Altamont Avenue. The merchants are hoping to gain a bit of savvy from Mastroianni’s experiences on Union Street to help touch off improvements in Rotterdam.

Senders right on, and would even be humorous if it wasn't so true.

i'm sure this will make some happy, but I heard the roundabout is kind of on hold...for a long time....oh well maybe we could get some more paper stuff to hang in the intersection on the poles, looked real appealing last year...

Why is it on hold? I thought this was a definet go ahead. And as far as the 'paper stuff'...you'll find that at just about every major intersection in town. Wait until the garage sales start this year.

If anyone, any business or any 'anything, is going to post their messages on poles or staked in the ground, they should be removed in a timely manner. I also do not think it looks appealing when businesses, who already have signs on or next to their buildings, stick even more advertisements in the ground all around town. Ya know, the ones that look like campaign signs? I don't think that should be allowed. It looks crappy!

What is going on with Hamburg Street? Last year they had all of those meetings and nothing has ever come from them.

We in Duanesburg could use that rotary at the intersection of Route 7 and Route 20.  The old red building could be demolished to make room.  There are traffic backups during the morning and the afternoon rush hours.  Further, making a turn from Route 7 eastbound to Route 20 westbound or from Route 7 westbound to Route 20 eastbound is difficult due to the acute angles of the intersection.

So, we will take both the planned rotary from Hamburg Street and the McClains Food Distribution Warehouse if the residents of the Town of Rotterdam no longer have use for them.
