I went to the CVS on Hamburg last night, what a discusting mess...the garbage can outside was overflowing with garbage and was actually piled in front of the door as you entered. The place is something you would find in the gut....Thats what people think of our town...the gut. We cant even get the store owners to take pride.
HELP....Robberies...garbage dumped all over. graffeeti...unkept properties...we are drawing undesirables...we better get somone to take notice and help or its going to be to late..
I always thought CVS was a bit on the shabby side. Actually, all of the businesses that are really working to update, clean up and make their businesses more desirable, are doing a great job. But one can't help riding down Hamburg Street and feel how antiquated it is. And even though I am trying to NOT beat a dead horse so to say, Hamburg Street, like much of Rotterdam, is in major need of infrastructure. It takes a lot of work and money to make sh** shine. But that is what is needed.
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I see there is a new business opening in Sams old place on Hamburg...a day spa. Looks promising. Nice new sign...anyone know who owns it or anything about it?
There was mention of this on the town's website. Their names are Dave and Linda DeLuke. I think they were asking for a permit. That was a while ago.

it seems things have slowed a bit...what is going on with the business meetings, i dont hear about anything anymore...what is happening, anyone know ?? I hear the roundabout is slated for June...like it or not. I never heard any follow on the design of sidewalks etc.
I haven't heard a thing about any Hamburg Street development. I heard the same thing about the round-a-bout. I would hope that they set the infrastructure in place before the do any developing. That is what the past administrations have done and that is why Rotterdam is in the mess it is in now.
I would rather see them go slow and think things out very carefully than just throw things up without thought. We certainly don't want those ugly 'big box' stores landing on Hamburg Street haphazardly.

trying to find out whats going on with hamburg street is like pulling teeth...Tomassone doesnt even bother answering his e-mails or phone messages....What a guy...
Well Biag....we know that sewers are key for any new development to go in on Hamburg Street. How do we expect to pay for them? The residents want development, without higher taxes and they don't want to pay for sewers. So what is the solution? Sometimes it appears that we all want everything for nothing!
However, it doesn't cost anything to clean up the town and stop the crap from overflowing into our town!!

The SI PILOT----or we can shi$ in one hand and wish in the other and see what we get first.....hhhmmmmmhhhmmmmmhhhhmmmmhhhmmm...and we wait.....hhhmmmhhhmmmhhhmm......and wait......hhhmmmhhmmmhhmmmhhhmm......and wait........

I know that the day that we had all the runoff from the weather melting the snow, then we had the freezeover the night after made some WONDERFUL /tic conditions for driving through the proposed roundabout. In fact, if you took it too quick, you would be going roundabout, without one being there. First things first, after seeing that, you need to have some sort of answer brought in for the drainage problems that are already here. And this was on what would probably be the busiest side of this intersection, coming from Cumberland Farms as if you were taking the right turn over towards the Thruway.
Tina still live over there? She's the one responsible for getting the speed HUMPS put in (what a disaster) - maybe she can call up her friends to get the drainage and pothole situation fixed.
