or you could collect YOUR OWN leaves and compost them YOUR SELF ... like a lot of folks do -- folks who do not rely on the government to do what can easily be done for one's self.

Sure, dimbulb.

Just like Proctor's Bombers, Mexican Radio and the other 100 corporations who depend on taxpayer
money to be handed to them, because they are helpless Nayboobs who can't do things themself.

You want homeowners to pay their way, but support corporate handouts.
\
Schenectady used to light the world.

Now it is dimbulb city.

And you are the mascot.

You obviously are NOT a real Libertarian.  You want the government to cleanup YOUR yard waste.  You claim to be against big government -- EXCEPT when it is cleaning up YOUR mess.  That makes you even worse than a dim bulb -- a burnt out bulb.

Yeah. DV. how about Galesi, Morris, Paul Mitchell, etc. etc, and all the other millionaires in downtown Schenectady stop relying on the financially struggling homeowners in the city paying their taxes??????

You CHEER for the rich downtown political cronies of your dems to rely on the financially struggling people of the city and county, but you criticize the taxpayers for wanting a service they pay for?????

HYPOCRITE    who will NOT in any way, manner shape or form address how the downtown dem cronies of the city's leaders rely on the overburdened taxpayers to build them shiny new buildings and then pay their taxes for them.

Typical of a NON-TAXPAYER.   DV does NOT COMPREHEND that people are paying for a service from the government when they have yard waste picked up.

As a non-homeonwer, non-taxpayer, DV does NOT understand and will NOT address the following:

In this town, we pay from our money to one of the various private sector companies for our trash pick up.   We pay for a service.

In the city, the people p[ay out of their own money for the city for their trash pick up.  The people pay for a service

In the town we have HAVE been PAYING for the service from the town for yard waste pick up.  It has NEVER NEVE NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER been "provided for free."

People who own their own homes and PAY FOR SERVICES from their OWN hard earned money for services from either private sector or government understand that they are not "relying" on someone to provide a something for them.  But then, someone who does not provide for himself as a normal adult does, but rather relies on two nannies to provide for him would of course think that the government is providing yard waste pick up for free.

folks who do not rely on the government to do what .

Let's see, remember REMS when the government was doing it all, had the government paramedics, etc.  The "government ambulance" REMS?

He wanted everyone to rely on the government for ambulance instead of private sector.

HYPOCRITE ONCE AGAIN.

Pointing out the unfairness of using force on homeowners to extract money for rich corporate welfare thugs is a Libertarian idea.

Nice try non-homeowner defender of corporate welfare and use of force against the actual homeowners.

I want less government and absolutely no corporate welfare.

Dimbulb.

And the homeowners in the city are not getting any service for the money that they must pay for the new buildings downtown or for paying the property taxes of downtown that they pay.

At least IF people CHOOSE to pay the town for pick-up they are getting something in return for their money.

Who pays to clean up Metrolex tax exempt business waste for businesses like Villa Italia, Bombers, Proctors, and the rest?  Not them.

Burnt out bulb. The government has NOT used force.  It is a USER FEE.  If you want use the service - PAY FOR IT.  If you don't want to use the service - opt out.  But don't make the residents who mulch, compost or otherwise take care of their own yard waste pay for the service YOU use.

I want less government, too.  They should just eliminate the brush & yard waste pickup completely.

So, those that opted out and choose to compost, should see a reduction in taxes ... since you no longer have to "pay for the service", right?

Hahah - as I said, a special kind of stupid.
