He/she usually doesn't have anything positive or nice to say.

BTW -- are you the gentleman who requested information about becoming a part of the Parks and
Recreation Commission?

I was trying to understand your comment relative to the issue of revitalizing Rotterdam Junction.
Speaking for myself, I have not incurred a cost to the taxpayers of Rotterdam.    When it comes to the
Parks Commission, I run off all the materials at home -- although yesterday I did have to use the town
copier machine to run off 11 copies of one item due to a "technical difficulty" with my copier at home.

The other members of the Parks Commission volunteer their time ... between the meetings, doing
research, and being directly involved in clean-up days and other activities.

So I would say that The Parks Commission has given great value to the town.

I wasn't just referring to the parks comish.....I mean the WHOLE PICTURE PLANNING of Rotterdam......it's mish-mash oatmeal...
no style/no class/no plan.......THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO MONT PLEASANT......they didn't keep up.....

DONT YOU SEE.......THE FUTURE IS COMING....

I think that there have been some improvements in planning -- Could it be better .. yes.
But we aren't going to improve things by screaming at each other .. we need to take a deep breath,
exhale, and then roll up our sleeves and work together.

I'm not screaming at anyone....I've been on this forum since it's inception....to a crap load of board meeting, business meetings, study meetings and
the only thing that is the same in this town is the graying of it.....the lack of enthusiasm for a foundational stylish planning is astounding to me.....

the 'big fish' in this town like their compounds and their names tossed about like a salad but there is no regard for the planning of the town as a whole

They are easily bought for beer and chicken wings at the classy watering hole- the Bad Pig. So yeah, Rotterdam Junk-tion is a good name for it.

The junk-tion has taken on a distinctly 'gimme gimme gimme' attitude as the welfare crowd and the big money limosine liberals have taken up residence there. Now the limosine liberals buy the welfare crowd free beer and wings to make sure they get the votes out for the democrap machine! That, and the piles of crap, and 'junk' everywhere is what the 'junk-tion' has become. Like hogs at a trough, they line up for free pastries!!

ps- I don't go to ginmills or biker bars run by corrupt ex cops. Not the kind of environment that I find uplifting. Biaggio, if you hang with turkeys, you will never soar with eagles.

pss-I hope you enjoy the 'tax cut' you fell for, and so obviously deserve!

In all respect biag.....do you really think that constructing a taxpaid park in your area will make people take more pride in their personal properties????

Proctors and the millions of tax dollars didn't revitalize Schenectady. Look around!! In fact it is more of a sh!thole than it was before!! Crime is up, murders, taxes are the 19th highest in the country and people are walking away from homes they can no longer afford. Schenectady county spending is out of control and yet people are still demanding government services and demanding not to cut existing ones.

The more demands = more programs = more tax paid employees = HIGHER TAXES!!!

Remember...........the more you demand from your government.............the higher your taxes!!! That is just a fact!!!

No I dont...didnt think it would. I am hoping people start, I am just looking for something that I can use and enjoy...  I pay over 12,000 a year....what can the park add ( our tax problem is bigger than that )....I also think the area is one that could turn into more than it is...perceived to be. Much nicer than the the other side of town..lived both sides...the east side is surrounded by the hill mont pleasant....very bad. I guess a few poor people I can deal with....nice ones. We arent all lucky enough to have it like GrahamBonnet

Yeah, in my 800 sq foot house. I least I mow my lawn, and haven't become a serf yet for the Princes of Montebello court. I don't take freebies because I don't like to be owned. The Junk-tion has been bought and paid for with some beer, wings, and cookies! How pathetic! You were all enraged about your new water tank! I would have let it collapse because with all the bitching and groaning over the cost, it was obvious you didn't care. You could distill your own piss for all I care!

And now you will get your "tax cut."  hahaaaa

Biag.....all rotterdamians and all schenectady county taxpayers feel and share your frustration and pain.

Just a suggestion here.....instead of joining the 'parks and recreation club', why not start attending all of your town meetings and especially the town budget process.  And pay attention to where your tax dollars are being spent. I don't know what your home looks like, but I think $12G's is an awful lot of money!

Rotterdam jct is a far better area of rotterdam to live in just as it is. The city scum is ouzzing into rotterdam from mt. pleasant and from the city via hamburg street and altamont ave. And don't think for a minute that a new gin mill and a veterans housing facility (draper school) and a relocation from one empty store front to another is going to make rotterdam any better!!

Railex and Fedex and the price chopper freezer was suppose to relieve rotterdam taxpayers of their tax burden as told to them by Savage and Gillen. Did it???? NO!!!! Trust me...your taxes will continue to rise. After all, someone has to pay for the taxes these businesses don't pay, and it will be in part ...... YOU!!IMHO

Your comment exposes you for what you are a nasty, elitist.

BTW -- Rotterdam Junction has a wonderful restaurant   Anthony's Canalside Ristorante.
