From what I’ve heard, the Republicans have
tried to talk with the NNTP and the NNTP basically said that unless they
are in charge they will continue to sink Republicans.

Uh.....is this a fact spidey????? If it is, would you like to share these FACTS!

Perhaps the NNTP party is working with the Conservative Party.  After all, they describe themselves as "fiscal conservatives"
Could they be working with the Conservatives against the Republicans and Rhinesmith?  Brad?

As long as the members of the Republican party keep spewing their rumors and hate speech nothing is going to improve for them. The mudslinging during the campaign was what turned a lot of people against the Rep party.

I'm not sure what facts black spidey thinks he has.  I have not heard anything about the NNTP actually saying anything to the Republicans that they would continue to sink candidates. The reason for that is I heard the Republicans reached out to Mr. O'Connor to meet with the NNTP and he refused to respond. And, I do know that NNTP people were seen at the Democrat victory party...

Though I haven't heard that the NNTP has threatened the Republican Party, I have heard that their threats against Angelo lead to him becoming a Democrat. So maybe there is some credibility in what Spidey say, what do you all think?

Well BT, Jim Jones was a leader and how many followed him to their death.  This is a democratic society and not a kingdom.  My choice of leader listens and tries to gather concensus and does not ignore people that have technical background or knowledge on issues when in government.

I'm looking for the same type of traits in a party chair.

Candidate selection is tough and the Reps missed a few good ones that went off on their own through the NNTP.  We need solidarity with them for the sake of the voters and future generations.

And in addition to yesterday's headline on dogs, cats rule their owner and dogs follow their owner!

woof, woof

The future generation IS HERE.....and the parties should not hide what America is by pigeon holeing the country in a dark cardboard
box called Reps and Dems.......NO SOLIDARITY based on an elder party......NNTP is to see/hear and learn then take the reigns......

the Reps AND the Dems just need their coffins finished.........good-bye to both.....

I’m sorry, but I find Brad to be slightly disingenuous here. Seems like
his real goal is trying to get himself and his friends added power. Why
should the Republicans now welcome the people into the party who are
hell-bent on destroying them? From what I’ve heard, the Republicans have
tried to talk with the NNTP and the NNTP basically said that unless they
are in charge they will continue to sink Republicans. This looks to me
like the NNTP doesn’t have the support to actually win anything so their
goal is to threaten Republican candidates that if they run as
Republicans, they will lose because NNTP will continue to run candidates
to take just enough votes to allow the Democrats to win, in hopes that
these underhanded actions will allow the NNTP to take over the
Republican Party. Perhaps the NNTP is really an arm of the Democratic
Party????

the NNTP has nothing to do with Dems or Reps....if both parties continue to 'be stupid' then flip-flop it is.....we have our constitution
State and Fed......the parties prefer their own will for survival....I really dont care if the Dems/Reps win because of the NNTP....the
fact remains that Tea Party opposition across the country will keep it bumpy for them.......

THAT'S THE PURPOSE RIGHT NOW.......

You may have something here spidey.  Has anyone heard that one or more of the NNTP party
candidates are planning campaigns for state and national offices?

Could that be what the "bigger fish to fry" comments mean?

I'm banking on it......it has to be done fast and furious to create a wind to move the curtain so we can actually see inside......the
current system has been in force for so long that the same machine parts have been allowed to continue even though they
are outdated.......

100% false.  No one has spoken or tried to speak to me.  The only contact I've had with the Republican leadership since being interviewed and passed over last year was initiated by me when I expressed interest in Mr. Della Villa's seat after he resigned.  (They immediately said no, by the way.)

Brad, anyone wishing to can view your receipts and expenditures for your campaign.  McGarry's also.  What about O'Connor?  What about Mertz?  Can you provide the name of their committee so we can review their receipts and expenditures?

For the record, I filed every required filing and I filed on time.  They are publicly available and I don't intend to discuss them further.

It would appear that those who were thrown out of office are a little bitter and the mudslinging and rumors start again.

Certain comments compel me to weigh in again.

Alleykat suggests that I am “totally disinterested.”  Not so.  However, I am preoccupied, which is why you haven’t seen or heard much from me on matters political.  I am not actively or even remotely involved with any political doings since Election Day.  I am content to see how actions of the new administration  unfold over the first several months before charting any new course.  Personal circumstances demand I remain temporarily “sidelined” for the near term.

I learned of Brian’s IDA appointment and the NNTP / Republican overtures in the newspaper like everyone else…and both were a surprise.

Like Cicero suggests, I am not eager to embrace “the party”, at least at this early juncture, but I’m still a registered Republican so we’ll see where it winds.  I prefer “to hold my ace” and not worry if it holds value in the future or not.  I lost the election, not my integrity…I’m exactly the same person I was before I ran.  As it stands, if/when I run again, I’m inclined to approach it the same way.

I’m a registered Republican, like Benny points out, but I ran independently for reasons that transcend the refusal of the party to endorse me.  Anyone that knows me knows that independent run was a long time in the making and not a direct response to being snubbed.  Heck, I’d have been more surprised than anyone had they endorsed me.

I have nothing but respect for the 3 guys I ran with.  Whatever course they choose to pursue, independently or as a group, is their business and I wish them well.  If I’m fortunate, our paths will cross again in the future.

Spidey and greeny.....lets take a walk down memory lane shall we.....

For the past few years, the county and city democrats have been taxing and spending like drunken sailors. There has been little if any representation from the towns that had a rep leg. that the dems would allow. The dems were running everything and running either the local government into the ground or running it's residents out of the area. People became desperate.

They thought that perhaps the con or rep party would put up good conservative candidates to run. Ya know, to give balance back into our government. Candidates that would stand up for 'we the people'. Not someone self serving. Not someone with political or personal motives. Not someone who would be influenced by those special interest groups.

Well, the cons became the cops. Hence in comes their self serving, political and personal motives and their very own special interest group. Hmmmm....so who's left? Let's see...oh there are the reps. But to everyone's surprise...the reps put on a blue coat and endorse Jack Denny!!! WTH? Then the chair person takes one rep (JS) and pins him against another (JM)BIZARRE!  Oh well....no good candidates are going to come out of the rep party.

Among all of these unhappy people who were sick and tired of the two party system that has failed us miserably were these 4 guys. These 4 guys carried the voices and concerns of the 17% of the electorate. WOW.....finally a breath of fresh air. These guys had the same concerns as the rest of us and were willing and determined to work hard to make a change. They were so determined to try to get elected (for us the people), that they worked feverishly to garner a ballot line.....NO NEW TAX PARTY!

Now common sense would show anyone with half a brain, that there was not any one party they were looking to influence. They went into this knowing that and so did the 17% of us who supported them. We were DONE looking to the major parties for any resolve.

We finally found 4 guys who had the balls to stand up and speak for the 17% of us....and they did!!! The NNTP isn't about rotterdam, schenectady county or influencing other political parties. It was about making a positive change with integrity, conservative ideals and above all 'service'.

SO GET OVER YOURSELVES!!
