Don't be sad.  Thank Gerard Parisi.  It was his desperate and mean-spirited comments to the press that caused this result.

Please stop with the phony outrage.  Mean spirited.  Wahhhhhh....Wahhhhhhhh....Wahhhhhhhh. Enough with the crocodile tears.  Nobody's buying it.

Sounds like the residents know the same thing about Delgallo as before. Nothing.  Bring sloth out from the basement for all to witness.

Boy the Dems have the Republicans in a free fall.  Joe Sigsnore irate, Joe Suhrada aimlessly walking around the room asking "But What about Bob?"  What a comedy of errors the Rotterdam Town Republican Party has become.  No wonder they can't field a slate of county/city candidates, they are more fun than a barrel of monkeys.  ROTFLMAO

Wow, they were in the tank and tried to cowtow to the democrats all they could! The LWV lost a tremendous amount of respect tonight for shutting out the public's questions and not having it filmed for SACC!!

The LWV is a wholly owned DEM subsidary like Sad Sacc-TV. Anyone that thinks they are unbiased is in the bag. These debates should be on TV and another civic group, Sons, Hiberians, Rotary, should step up and take over.

The League has permanently humiliated itself with this total farce. This was a nondebate because the DEMS were completely unprepared on important issues.

Hey Puddy did you hear about the joke Nisky REP chair-running for County Leg? He left the County-before the election-not after he finished dead last!

Another new low-sneaks out of the County and doesn't have the decency to remove himself from the ballot or chairmanship. Only in Schenectady County-and of course nobody knows from nuthin.

Ladies and Gents,

I this stage I imagine most of you have passed the course "Schenectady County Fascism 101" and last night you had you final exam. For those that attended and were sufficiently "hazed" by the League (who kindly acted as interim professors while their Deans, the County Democrats were on evening sabbatical) most of you returned this morning with A, A+ and A- grades. Congratulations!

What did you learn last night? That a well coordinated political stunt could effectively be controlled by the county boss (Dictator University President Gardner) and would reach into all levels in order to squelch, quash and stifle questions, answers, interacting, recording (even though it was open to the public and in a county owned building,) photographing, and any political thought that wasn't strictly condoned by the principals or pedagogy of the local bosses. You saw the SACC-TV people missing in action at the last moment. You saw the League (former and current Democrat stalwarts, many of them) dictating an October surprise with a whole new set of rules. You saw them sternly refuse to allow photos (other than the government approved press, apparently) and videotaping. You saw them tell the audience to go scratch. You saw them tell those candidates who did attend to drop dead. The only part of the final exam that you took that reminded you this was still a free country was the limited debate between County Legislature candidates, who obviously felt they could stand the stench of the Republicans that the mysterious Democratic candidates and the appalled Mr. McGarry couldn't.

Most of you have reported back to the web prompter that you now understand that democracy in our county is being held up by a thread. I mere ribbon keep it in the air, and stops it from crashing earthbound like the pile of space junk it is. The one party rulers have slithered their tentacles into the public TV station, controlling programming and editing (against FCC law by the way) public meetings and other debates in the past few years. They have obviously ordered the League to take the gloves off last night and scare up all the bully tactics that they could draw from their Ninth Directorate mentors. The students learned that no matter what the will of the people is, there is a Democrat party controlled outpost close by that can suppress any move by the people to hear the facts, get information and make informed choices.

Congratulations for those of you who learned just how many things are closely orchestrated by the party goons. You passed. Perhaps by the time the election is over, you will see how many more, right down to you local groups are as well. You got a taste of it over the Little League brouhaha last week. Tune to you local Highbridge Highlights and find the democrat candidates giving speeches at the meetings and getting credit for things they haven't done, etc etc...More to come in the next class as you see how they railroad democracy some more!

Enjoy the rest of the semester! Just 13 days left until Fall Break!

Bravo to Brad Littlefield and Michael O'Connor for showing up ready to debate and not read pre-canned statements. Others that refused to show should be called on it. Mt Pleasant Principal Nicky Di Leva was a no show?

Shame on the horrible LWV for not allowing an exchange of ideas and worse not taping this for Sad SACC-16. Another wholly owned subsidary of the DEMS. Since the DEMS aren't present don't tape it? I rememeber two years ago where Sad SACC-16 cut closing remarks of Carolina Lazzari. Nothing changes around here.

They did more than cut the closing remarks, they actually scalpel-edited out the damning-to-dems Q&A on the Illegal Alien Driver Lic.

I don't think the word on the "street" is so sweet to Democrat ears. Phony outrage is phony outrage. Rotterdamians know one thing: You say something bad about them, and they stand up to fight, not run away and pout. IF what you said isn't true.

I think the Democrats were seriously afraid. Even Godlewski, which surprises me. Of course if he isn't he can still debate. Surhada would probably debate them all just for fun, after all the odds are usually much worse at the county with 11 dems and SS as the moderator. Nobody beats her for knowing how to run a political debate like the Politburo.

Cal ~ you're right.  Parisi has no leadership skills whatsoever ~ He cost the GOP and Tommasone a huge opportunity, but it's their own fault.  Days are numbered ~ GOP falling apart.

Republicans = no leadership.

I wouldn't dismiss the reps anytime too soon. Although I will be voting the NNTP....they, the reps, are still a viable party with much much support out there. I don't see them 'crumbling' now or anytime too soon in the future. I honestly do not see where their days are numbered. IMHO

Glad Brad Littlefield showed up for the event and showed UP the other candidates.  However, I still believe boycotting for the others was a good move.  I have read Maxine Borom's remarks.  I believe this was an agonizing decision.  Stop blaming dems and blame Gerard Parisi.  He's the real culprit.

All indications point to a HUGE tidal wave of discontent with the current 5-0 Republican Admin.  Stan the Man losing. The NNTP factor.  The large amount of money raised by the Dems.  The smell of the appointment of Craig Surprise.  The stink around town on Gerry Parisi's ill-advised "Sesame Street" blunder.  The Mertz factor. The same tired Republican candidates that have run for office over the last 10-15 years.  The way they have handled Eunice and the former assessor.  The wave of Democrats winning statewide in Republican strongholds.

Yeah I'd say their days are numbered.

GB--What's with the maifesto???  Righteous indignation you say????  Boo  hoo.  Folks stood up against unfair and demeaning practices that your buddies foster.  Leave the LWV alone.  No problem there.

Benny--the Dems have all the answers that the Reps can't come up with.

Reps are not united--ST's days are numbered.  And I remember when Signore wouldn't debate Constantino.  Was harder to know who the bigger horses-ss was in that race.

Parisi is at the bottom of the problem.  As a famous rabbi once said, "even a cat can spoil something."  But not our Puddy Cat!  He's got it right.

GB--you said Godlewski scared???  Are you totally out of your mind???  He would have creamed all of those running.  He is very smart, repeat VERY SMART.  Suhrada would have been running for cover.
