The Rotterdam Primary shows a deeply divided GOP.  Tommasone loses the Conservtive line.  The county legislature candidates for GOP fail to secure the conservative line.  It appears Machinkowski is poised to lose the Republican primary despite being the endorsed candidate.  And Joe Suhrada and Mr. Signore came in only about 100 votes above John Mertz, despite the blistering effort made in the primary.

Stan The Man did lose-big time. No way can he win with the joke IND/WFP lines. The only 3rd party line that matters is CONS and perhaps NO NEW TAXES PARTY.

The REPS were embarrassed Countywide. As I predicted they wasted all their money beating up John Mertz and this stunad Town Clerk race. Eunice will be re-elected in a landslide. Del Gallo will win so big he will pull in others. John Mertz will take hundreds of votes away from the REPS on the NO NEW TAXES line. Any REP that sought the socialist WFP is finished in November.

Beating up John Mertz is never a waste of time or money unless it prevents folks from beating up on the
questionable Joe Suhrada.  Eunice WILL take office again.  Not sure what DelGallo stands for but anybody in the office with a body temp of 98.6 will be infinitely better than Tommasone and his cronies.

Exactly.

Everyone acts like you have to be a college professor or a nuclear engineer to be able to run a town government. I think what it boils down to is being honest and fair and not having personal vendettas. You have to be able to do the right thing and use COMMON SENSE. Not get overpowered with "ego" because your a big bad "Town of Rotterdam Supervisor or Board Member". Come on people. Lets get real here.

Can we at least have a minimum requirement that Board Members or Supervisors NOT inappropriately touch high school aged girls, or take kick backs from local contractors?

Can we also have a minimum requirement that current board members show up for meetings, absolve themselves from computer contracts, keep solid, professionals in their jobs, (unlike what is going on in the current assessor's office and the Sr Center)  Reminder of Mr DeGeorgio's whoa's who I might add is a solid member of the EGO"S admin?  Or how bout a law firm who makes boo coo bucks, has the REP town attorney as a partner and rarely if at all are seen in town hall?

How bout that Cissy??  How bout  a leader for supervisor who we can trust, who we can be assured will surround himself with upstanding town residents who care about their standing in the community and have a solid sense of committment??  How bout dept. heads who live and breathe in OUR community who have some dececny left for the common folk??  You are transparent as ever Cissy and I doubt you will ever learn that you live in the past with your stupid innuendos about Constantino.  Grow up and move forward with the rest of the townspeople.  Haven't you seen what is going on around you??  A tsunami warning is effect for the Tomassone admin and you still chafe about Jimmy.  I don't get it......

How about a Supervisor that doesn't propose and pass a reval for the town, then not run for re-election, so he could take a crony job in the city?  Leaving the next administration to face the sh*t storm that he created.  How about a Supervisor that works for the town’s residents, not the town’s public unions, making the Police Chief disproportionately the highest paid chief in the Capital District?  Or how about a Supervisor that doesn't allow DWI's committed by Sergeants and to be covered up department top brass without demanding an investigation?

This isn't about Jimmy.  This is about the era of Jimmy politics attempting to rear its ugly head.  The days when the Cops and developers raped the town and lined their pockets.

It is beginning to bother me ~ again ~ I find myself agreeing with Puddy.

It's bothering me because mixed in all the good points is a bunch of baggage about how she lost her job in the senior center and how JM lost his job in the assessors office.  You should know that Tommasone wasn't going to let anyone from JP's administration hang around.  Mike G kept his job by a miracle!  Everyone knows that Howdy Doody, Tom Ego & Jerry the faithful all wanted him gone.

As for Puddy's replacement, DeGeorgio is far from a Tommasone Ego follower.  These guys all know what a joke Ego has become, the board might have kept the tax levy flat, but that hasn't stopped Ego from spending like a drunkin sailor.  (Just ask former councilwoman Marco or future/again councilman Godlewski)

Benny ~ don't get ahead of yourself, O'Connor is not the clear winner yet.

Pilgrim ~ Mertz deserves what he gets.  He followed Tommasone Ego for years, then when he couldn't stand the stink anymore he wasn't smart enough to figure out how to stay in the game.  The guys a lawyer for crying outloud, he should have had the nerve to stand up to these guys long before now.  If he's playing the spoiler at this point then good for him, if he goes out let him take them all out.

GB ~ no leaders in Surhada's party.

It would seem to me that it took more than John Paolino's signature to "pass" a long needed reval.  Didn't Steve Tommasone's current Comptroller chair a committee of bi-partisan residents that recommended a reval??  Is he still there?? Didn't a Republican member of the past Town Board cast the deciding vote??  Doesn't she have relatives in the Town Admin??  They still there too??  Cmon Cissy wasn't it the entire Town Reps on the board who gave us the sh** storm called Surprise???  Wasn't it the current REPS on the town board who put in a police commission, gave out promo's and hired A councilman's son over the objection's of our CHIEF!!!  C'mon Cissy the heat is gettin to ya.........   This is about decent people paying the price for what?  Because of a reval???  Because John Paolino took another job?  Because John DeGeorgio and Mike Greasemer made big political contributions?  This is about money and more money and more money.

Whose lining their pockets??  Parisi is; I am sure of that....

A tsunami warning is in effect (good one Puddy) but not only for the town but for supporters of Howdy Doody Countywide. The County REPS will be down to only 3 out of 15 County seats after November. They could meet in a phone booth. They have one incumbent seat and they can't hold it?

Benny--- Tom Buchanan is no friend of mine but where are the other Republican stalwarts recruiting candidates, running themselves, trying to build the party back up thru neighborhoods, young republicans, Jimmy Tedisco wannabes?  Where are the Pete Guilderelli's, the Tom Isabella's, the Art Brassard's, the Mike Cuevas, the former patronage bidders who roamed the City then and now.  No one has stepped up to be the least bit of a loyal opposition.

It's more than Howdy Doody time; its all of the above and more.  Maybe a new approach would have been better....LIKE WORKING TOGETHER for the betterment of the communities and not attacking and chopping off the heads of DEMS because they could.

The Reps reap what they sow and it ain't corn my friend! Tomassone and Buchanan created John Mertz and now they pay the price.  Only In Sch'dy County Republican politics could this stuff happen.  They are the laughing stock of the whole frickin state republican delagation.  I thought Jimmy T losing was the iceing but there is another layer of cake waitin to be frosted!!!!  What a joke Sch'dy County Reps have become........
