I think you two can find some common ground, how about starting with REMS.  Joe is supporting a dedicated tax payer revenue stream for a not-for-profit company; Deb you should be pleased that you have finally swayed him.

Suhrada isn't the only one supporting this tax increase. So is S.T., signore and marchenkowski.

RE: the Pig Roast  ABSOLUTELY NOT!   I was on the committee for the first Mohon field day.  Problem was Oliver Robinson scheduled it for Sept. 11.  BAD CHOICE.  I recommended he change the date.  He refused based on the football schedule.  My response was that you cannot have a "field day" (remember it was just a couple years aftr 9-11) on a day that the COUNTRY felt was holy, bathed in the blood of our American citizens.  Are you still with me?   I then suggested that we have a commenoration service that was interfaith so that EVERYONE  could participate.  WE had students who had lost their father at the WTC.  We included them in that service.

I was pissed because NONE of the Republicans showed up at all during the day.  (there was one don't remember who--could have been the EGO or Holly)  Not because nobody showed for th candlelight service but rather the whole day.  Had nothing to do with a pig roast or a clambake etc. I am glad when anyone can get out and enjoy themselves regardless of who or what they are.  What is wrong with you?  That's too crazy even for you.

RE: the trip to DC w/ seniors.  WE went to the WWII Memorial and took kids with us so that senior citizens could share their memories of that turbulent time.  Remember that remains in peoples' minds as the good war.  We called on our representatives who were there.  At that time they were all Democrats  (oh yeah that still is the case)  That is how we got to visit Hillary Clinton.  We tried to get into the White House but couldn't.  Yes Joe I was willing to take the folks to see your idol W.

I never EVER spent time trying to see where Reps screwed up to report it.  That is simply wrong and not very smart.  It wasyour girl HV who was always trying to catch me at something wrong.  and she couldn't. That aggravated the hell out of her. I loved my job and didn't give a rats --- what anyone else was doing.  It was a great job but the truth be told the positions I  have held since surpass that job.  Following that I ran a soup kitchen and outreach center in the South End of Albany.  You get to see the face of G-d everyday when you work with the poor.  My work with seniors now is grundbreaking in NYS.  Great work and great folks.

Instead of attacking me talk about what is wrong with the Town and this world.  What are you guys doing to make this town consumer friendly--senior friendly.  What are you guys envsioning to turn Rotterdam into a livable community for everyone.  No crosswalks--no sidewalks no attention being paid to the businesses that are there.  Developers tearing up every treed area we have.  Come on JOe lets see what you are about.   No I am off this blog.  You folks are not interested in any other view but yours.  Joe you are right of Atilla the Hun!!!!  I'm gone.  And BTW you thought you outed me--WRONG you also outed my brother's former wife  Good bye and good luck. I enjoy political discourse.  That is why I went on and tried to bring some other folks with me.

And it was unethical to print our email and our names.  I would not have done it to you.  Ciao--

Well here, I quoted it again for you - since you like tooting your own horn so much.

Mobile--No sorry-didn't have my glasses and new computer.  Guess I hit the return twice.  I apologize.  Back a couple of pages Joe asked for explanations re: pig roast and cited the DC trip and at least what I understood, I didn't have a job.  Sorry it is all so pedestrian.

...the rant speaks for itself. Groundbreakingly...

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Oh, and I didn't even mention how one of the Republican legislators was invited to speak by the head of the senior association at the time about his profession outside of politics and was called back just before his appearance to say that he was uninvited because that would be deemed "political" by the people who ran the Town center (no matter that the TOWN DOESN'T RUN THE ASSOCIATION!)

How groundbreakingly similar to Trotsky, Lenin or Alinsky!

Of course Tonko could hold "lunch and learns" and all the Democrat politicos could come and propagandize anytime they wished, but this Republican was not barred from visiting and talking about his small business and how his products were made- EVEN AFTER THE ASSOCIATION INVITED HIM because they thought it interesting!

So, no, there was no politics there and no coercion of the senior association. Right...done in the style of the best community organizers...

Firstly, I don't know what kind of event a "field day" is, but if it has anything to do with members of the school district and/or community uniting together, I can't think of a better day to hold the event.

You keep referring to GramBonnet by the name Joe.  Do you know this to be true?  And if you do, is it not unethical for you to share that with others?

Lastly...what the hell does this have to do with Local Primaries?!

Indeed, pot-v-kettle here.  There's no evidence that GB is "Joe". In fact, I can honestly say the person behind "GB" is not "Joe" anything.

A "civility pledge" for Rotterdam politics? LOL.

Just win baby. Let me know when Brian Quail signs. Probably on November 4th.

What's more important...candidates who sign a civility pledge (is that the League of Women Voters pledge?) and ignore it, get reported, stand "trial" and get zero penalties...or the candidate who remains civil, and doesn't put pen to paper?
