But in comments to the human rights investigator, Gardner denies engaging in discrimination and says Wright "would not have been seriously considered" because he had been cited for allegedly downloading pornography on his office computer in 2003, and both positions involved dealing with youngsters.
If this allegation is true, then Wright should have been fired and arrested on the spot. Or did they keep him as a token black employee? And furthermore, wasn't it the sex offender issue that brought Kosiur down? And yet the democratic dictatorship 'chose' to keep a possible sex offender on the books? IF THESE ALLEGATIONS ARE EVEN TRUE! If they aren't, it would appear that Mr. Wright has yet another law suit in his back pocket. IMHO

Again. what is Gardner's definition of pornography. Did he open an email of a boob model with Sarah Palin's head ( that was too early for Sarah Palin but something similar) like WE HAVE ALL SEEN IN OUR EMAIL LAST FALL, or was it some hardcore stuff. I imagine the former would be considered porn now that he has gone against the democrats, but it wasn't "really" porn when he was on their team? As Sal would say "cabishe?"

Gardner probably thinks it's Ok to go to strip joints in Niagara Falls and cavort with strippers or something I bet, but now is holier then thou, when someone bucks the party! What if someone had a file on HIM and showed his family? After all, he has been destroying people for years, and sometimes what goes around REALLY goes around!

I find it strange how they kept it under wraps that he had "porn" for so long, and used it against Wright "as needed!"

I'll bet there's a lot of information on everybody in that illegal black book that they won't show to anyone except those in the loop.

If any clear minded person was reading this, they would have been lead to believe that it was in fact 'child porn' of some sort. And Not Sarah Palin's alleged boob.

When they mention DOWNLOADING PORN and YOUNGSTERS in the same sentence....what the hell else is the average reader suppose to think? IMHO

Maybe that is what he WANTS you to think! A master of manipulation, Gardner. But he still won't get elected Family Court judge. Too many sexual skeletons in the closet that are just dieing to come out, pardon the pun....

Ya know, Gardner isn't my favorite person but if you are going to make allegations of this nature I would hope you have facts or proof to back it up.  It would be seriously unfair to make a statement like that if it wasn't true.  It could ruin his family, career, and life.  I don't know him at all on a personal level and have no way of knowing if what you say is true but things like that have a way of becoming gospel if shouted often and loudly enough.

PS.....Did I really just defend Chris Gardner???????  OMG

how about a bunch of guys who were with him told someone who works with them, who just happens to be my sister in law. I asked a few of them at a Christmas party and they told me it was true. I guess there was some convention in Niagara Falls and he was a lawyer for a Corrections Officer union and he did this, but there is more and I will leave it at that. What i am getting at is that when you live in a glass house you neednt throw stones at someone like Mr. Wright and say he had prono, and INFER it was child porno. We need to ask Gardner the same questions about Mr Wright who he smeared because he is suing the county over Kosiur. I don't think he cares if he destroys someone's life, does he? And I don't even know Mr Wright but I have seen Gardner and his tricks are wellllllllllllllll known!

GB, Gardner surely isn't the only person who was aware of Wright ALLEGED behavior. Where are they? It still doesn't add up!

why isn't there a symphony of people in the know coming out about this so-called porno that Wright had on his computer? Maybe only Fish Face Gardner knows and has been keeping it in a secret file so that he could use it against the guy. I heard this is how he operates. Glass houses break easily...The file on Gardner is thick as a brick from what I hear.

How would Gardner even find out what Wright was doing on his computer? I mean does Wright work in Gardner's department? (I don't think so). I'm tellin' ya, this doesn't make sense. There had to be someone else that knew about this.

How could a group of people know about Gardner's behavior and yet only ONE person (gardner) knew about Wright's? And yet are we led to believe that ONE person allegedly accused Wright of computer porn but MANY can't bring Gardner's alleged behavior to light? If this is all true, is gardner that big, bad and powerful that know one dares say a word? IMHO

How could Quail have forgotten Carl Taylor?

In a Jan. 10 letter, county Democratic Chairman Brian Quail cited several examples of appointments of African-Americans to important positions under Democratic leadership.
I have no quarrel with the gist of Mr. Quail’s argument, which is that the Democrats have been inclusive with appointments, but he did make one very signifi - cantly erroneous statement — [that in 2004] the first African-American was appointed to the Schenectady County Community College Board of Trustees.
One of my blessings as a SCCC faculty member for 36 years is to have known the late Rev. Carl Taylor, an African-American. He served as a college trustee from 1969 until 1996, and as the chairman of the board of trustees. The college has honored his service and his memory with the Carl Taylor Auditorium. He was an important part of the Schenectady community.
I assume Mr. Quail’s statement was an honest mistake, but it is also a surprising one.

City's affirmative action weak

By LAUREN STANFORTH, Staff writer
First published in print: Tuesday, April 21, 2009

SCHENECTADY — Critics are renewing their cry for better affirmative action policies at the city, telling City Council at its committee meeting Monday night that policies are woefully outdated.

City Councilwoman Barbara Blanchard brought affirmative action manager Miriam Cajuste into the meeting to answer questions about her office's work, as concern has swelled again about the city's efforts to hire minorities and women. Regular meeting attendee and disability advocate city resident Jason Planck has raised the issue with Blanchard, as well as City Councilman Joseph Allen.

Cajuste said all contractors being paid by Schenectady are in compliance with affirmative action rules requiring them to exhaust efforts to hire minority and female subcontractors. If contractors prove they cannot meet the requirement, they're granted a waiver, Cajuste said.

But the Rev. Phil Grigsby, director of Schenectady Inner City Ministries, and Brian Wright, executive director of the county's Human Rights Commission, spoke from the audience about the city's apparent lack of updated affirmative action policy, and how it leaves the city vulnerable to lawsuits. Wright has filed a complaint against the county, alleging he was discriminated against by his bosses.

Grigsby also had copies of city and county Affirmative Action Office reports, which give vague updates such as ''attended community meetings,'' and ''visited project sites.''

The Rev. Emanuel Adams, the city and county affirmative action officer, was at the meeting and said he felt ''slammed'' by people who decided to take their concerns to the meeting, instead of ...........http://www.timesunion.com/AspS.....p;newsdate=4/22/2009
