Partisan politics is becoming the status quo with little regard of what is in the best interest of the residents. I believe that this is one of the primary reasons that not only do residents choose to not get involved in the process, but also in attracting new candidates who would ever consider running for a political office.
They have to stop politicizing everything and start working for the people who they were elected to represent. People are just tired of it!
As I understand it, Diane Marco is supposed to call this meeting together. So I guess they are waiting on her.
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Although I don't agree with the forming of this committee, I also don't think that Diane Marco should be on this committee. I don't believe that any past or present town employee should be representative of this wage increase issue. It should be residents only.

The deck is stacked and the raise for the Town Board is as good as passed and it'll be with the approval of a non functioning committee. When the Town Board forms a committee to study anything it's just like the old shell game and their hands are always faster than our eyes.
I'm not too sure about it being a done deal. The unfortunate issue is that this may actually cause some desention among the reps on the board. You have Tommasone and Della Villa on one side and Mertz and Signore on the other with Silva, the lone democrat with his own ideas. This has been an observation from some who have attended meetings. And the last thing the reps want to do is divide. Cause then the dems will conquer and we already know what that has done to the city council and the county legislature.
The reps better get their act together and re-unite. The simple solution is to put the raise increase in the next budget process. It's not only simple but the right thing to do.

They just make it look that way for the sheeple......smoke on the water if ya will.....look under the 'serene' surface of the water-it's dark.....I'm sure once it is passes they will not be loosing any sleep over it nor will they be inviting us over for Easter dinner, Christmas dinner or Thanksgiving dinner......
DONT TREAD ON ME........ THEY ALL EAT AT THE SAME TROUGH.....
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
Mr. Silva asked almost the same thing at Wednesday's Town Board meeting and was met with a deafening silence...no one seemed to know for sure what, if anything, was going on beyond the Town preparing some info they planned to pass along to the committee.
You might be right, but there has been to discussion since the formation of this so called committee to discuss these raises. No committee meeting, no verbal discussion = no raise, to me anyways.
