It doesn't appear that both REMS and Mohawk will get the ems contract. While there was some disagreement and confusion as to why there are two
separate resolutions to accept the bid from each of the companies, FDG insisted that this was the way it was going to be done....that those who want
REMS can vote yes on that resolution, and those who don't can vote yes on the Mohawk resolution. As expected, Wayne Calder announced that he
will abstain...saying that the Town Attorney advised him that it would be a conflict due to his son-in-law's employment with Mohawk....he also
suggested that he shouldn't vote on the ALS resolution....but other Board members disagreed as it has nothing to do with awarding the contract.

ND asked why the Board couldn't just decide which ambulance service they were choosing and vote on a single resolution to award the chosen
service the contract. MM said that if the REMS resolution failed, they could just vote on the Mohawk resolution, instead of moving to add another
resolution during the Town meeting if REMS does not get the three votes needed. The presumption is that whoever says yes to REMS will say no
to Mohawk...and the company that gets three or more yes votes wins. IMO it is being handled this way so that no one will have to reveal which
way they will vote until the second they actually vote.

FDG stood his ground on the ALS resolution...Calder tried to thwart it by suggesting that potential litigation may not be included in the Town attorneys'
contract and could cost the Town more money....but said he didn't know for sure...and when BG stated that he thought it was included, Calder then
said that he had read the contract and it did not. BG rightfully blasted him for what amounted to a trick question...he also noted that the Attorney
General was investigating and that the Town must demonstrate a commitment to resolving the ALS scam. FDG didn't care...he was going after
that money... or he would pursue justice through other means...good for him.

How about Calder abstaining and you get a 2-2 vote for each proposal?

Interesting dynamics on this one...Godlewski and Del Gallo vote for Mohawk. That's an easy one to ferret out. Godlewski has been stumping for Mohawk for years, and Del Gallo will pretty much follow his lead. Martin and DiLeva are tougher nuts to crack. I would hedge a guess that Martin goes for REMS...ditto with DiLeva. It's the easiest way for them to make a decision by not deciding...and then blame it all on Calder for not casting a vote. Ambulance contract goes nowhere...ALS fees go nowhere...everything gets pushed off until next year...

So true with this crew...they have been able to pass resolutions for all their buddies...rezones...jobs --both at town hall and contracts for work.  The friends and family favors are so easy to facilitate.  But now we have a real issue on the table...something that should have been addressed years ago.   The hard stuff just isn't within their capacity...this issue could remain unresolved for quite some time.  They are a joke...the entire board right down to the absent clerk.

The long nightmare is coming to an end. MAS has the votes and it should be decided tonight! WC will recluse but REMS will still lose.

So REMS now has the contract?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

There was no point in this whole charade - their decisions were made long ago.

DiLeva should be ashamed of herself.
