“Rotterdam, with a similar population, spends over $500,000 for what we would be providing to Glenville for $50,000.”

But we get 10 times the service.

This is why Rotterdam is a punchline.

I see that a certain for-profit ambulance service  is now shaking down Glenville for a $50,000 a year subsidy  -- I thought this company didn't need subsidies ???

To paraphrase Lincoln ---  "you can't fool all of the people all of the time -- you just have to fool the fools like KR and GB and the other nayboobs to pull a fast one"

"Shaking down"? The Town of Glenville is being asked to finance a paramedic service they do not currently offer....it's called paying
for a service provided....something you and REMS refuse to accept...and obviously Mohawk can do it for a fraction of what it costs
in Rotterdam. The only ones shaking down anyone is REMS....shaking down the Town for an unnecessary tax....shaking down the
Town for bailouts....shaking down residents for donations...all while they claim to be running REMS as a "business".

That won't happen.  Although they are all part of the same "brotherhood", they don't want any additional competition for the grants!

I think REMS is defending a lawsuit for their role in the death of a person they were called to pick up.  They were late, the person died.  You argument is fallacious and everybody knows it.  As a matter of fact, they know it at a 2 to 1 margin.

Actually, my argument is FACTUAL .. not fallacious ..  since it is an undisputed fact that the "other ambulance service" did not have any ambulances inside the City of Albany (and the closest was on I-787) on the evening that the young boy was hit by car just off Western Ave.    (Unless of course - you are disputing the facts that were reported by EVERY news outlet in the Capital District)

Your reference to the referendum result is MEANINGLESS to the factual arguments that I have made -- unless of course you believe that truth is subjective.

REMS does not "shake down" residents for donations ... they ask and people VOLUNTARILY make the donations.

BTW - How much did you get paid off to do the other company's bidding ????    Everyone knows that your loyalties change like the wind -- depending on who is offering you something in exchange for your support.

It is fallacious in the sense that even IF Albany had a not for profit ambulance service that was receiving $10K a month from the city, collecting ALS money without a contract located in their city, they could NOT GUARANTEE an ambulance to be available at any given time 24/7/365.  If I'm not mistaken, REMS will sometimes service Princetown and Duansburg.  So the situation that happened on 787 could just as well happened on 890 in Rotterdam, due to REMS servicing areas outside of Rotterdam.

FALLACIOUS ARGUMENT.

What's it mean "stopped being part of the team"?  Is not ramming through REMS and firing Diane M from the Senior Center not being a team player?  He didn't take care of the "teammates" so to say.  His cronyism didn't reach far enough into the pile of Democrat lobs or grease a dysfunctional non-profit at the copservatives request?

FDG didn't come from that bureaucrat blood so they are trading him in for a lifer - Harry Buffardi.

and FDG has made the lack of contract a TAX by choosing not to accept revenue due to the town for service provided

he is taxing the electorate to make up the difference to the tune of $100,000

WHAT does the town want?

1. pay for a just-in-case ALS pick up?
2. pay for just a first aid/cpr ride?
3. pay for something you may never use?

let the private sector fight it out....obviously the government cant purchase enough fear......or can they? it's up to us who we are....

an argument is fallacious if it is not based in fact --- my argument is based in facts therefore it is not fallacious

your argument  "could just as well happen" is not based on facts but on the possibility that something could happen --- and that is not factual --- therefore your argument is fallacious .. and might I add .. proves your general stupidity.
