‘No cussing’ program could work wonders here

Hearing about South Pasadena’s “no cussing” program, I thought a similar program would benefit Schenectady. With all of the new businesses and buildings in downtown, it’s still important for people to feel comfortable there.
For example, I was recently at the Burger King on Liberty Street and Erie Boulevard and subjected to the conversation of patrons behind me laced with obscenities. I also have seen people spitting in public. These acts of disrespect are certainly not restricted to Schenectady, but do contribute to an unpleasant downtown environment. Schenectady can take steps to address this issue so visitors and residents feel welcome. It may seem trivial, relative to Schenectady’s many other troubles, but details can make a difference in people’s perceptions.
Schenectady, clean up your act so we can all take pride in our community.

David honey, you need to put on your big girl panties and realize that Schenectady will never be the next Beverly Hills ... it's a very urban city with many diversities and varieties of people. While we're still the welfare capital of NY, we'll continue to attract vermin  -  plain and simple. If you don't like it, maybe you should try a higher class restaurant instead of Burger Crap on the main thoroughfare - the Erie Runway, er Blvd.

If cussing is the worst thing that people do in the cit of Schenectady, we'd all be happy. There was a stabbing there yesterday and an attempted rape there today. It kind of makes cussing kids stuff!
