Americans need to wake up and wise up

How can you be so slow in this fast country? How many more students need to be killed before we wake up and control guns before they get into the hands of mental patients? Mental health issues have to be addressed.
Young ladies, wise up, you don’t have to drink to death on dates. Limit yourself to one or two drinks so that you won’t lose judgment — your life or someone else’s life — if you drive.
You might say you know all this, but show it by your actions that you do. Fathers, be role models — muscles alone are not that important; even cut down on meat so you won’t be too aggressive. Youngsters, don’t overspend on Visa cards only to be miserable later when paying off the debt.
A causal lifestyle is no better than the simple, honest life when you can’t afford it. Mothers, give love and care to babies in the formative years. Not too many toys or big houses, so they can become good citizens. No bullying at school, go to school to learn.
Take wherever or whatever is good in any culture or any country and close your eyes to evil and not emulate. Maintain individuality and principles and not be sheep, blindly following others. Be careful with your thoughts, words or deeds.
People are beautiful, intelligent and hard-working — most of them — but wisdom and discipline is needed in all matters.

Mercy forgot..... accepting personal responsibility for your actions and not blaming everyone else for your bad choices. And not whining to the government for every damn little thing!

No,,,they didn't forget, they used the proper terminology---wisdom and self discipline---that is what the Bible is....a guide to SELF discipline....not a tool for hitting other people over the head....it is for correction of ourselves and to be divulged to those who are seeking and knocking.....the government has become ITSELF because we have lost OURSELVES and given breath to it that it should not have.....

....and the government sat upon His shoulders......

We are now living in the type of world that the far left thought would be perfect, everything controlled by government, God out of school and government, no discipline in schools or at home, nobody takes responsibility for their actions as it's always someone else's fault for our mistakes, and if a child is a little overactive in school medicate them, we reap what we sow and we're paying the price.

And I don't think the far left is done yet. Time will tell with whoever is our next president. I'm not a particular fan of any of them, but if Hillbilly or Obama gets elected....just hang on to your hat FREEDOM!

I agree.  I don't think things will be HILL-arious if either one of these people is elected as the next president of the United States.  Notice that the Obama people want us to be an Obama World?  Maybe that's because they don't want us to realize that if we secure the borders, not that it would happen under him, but if we cut ourselves off from the rest of the world under him we would be an... Obama-Nation???

To me PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY IS THE FREEDOM TO CREATE OUR OWN LIVES.

Yes, responsibility is equated with freedom and power. Once we awaken to this fact, we become liberated and empowered. Once we become aware of this truth, we shed our victim mentality and gain the power to transform ourselves.

Why do you need to make every thing a political issue ?  Every response is left-right-left -right an on and an on- so boring-

No one is making anything a political issue except the political government itself. They are dictating the very core of our existence. Just try to create 'your own life'.

Try to find a place to work that can display the ten commandments. Try to get on a plane without going threw a metal detector. Try smoking in a public place. Try driving without a seat belt. Every phone call can be traced. Everything with a GPS, including our cell phone, can be traced. Priests and teachers have tried to 'create their own life' with little boys and girl...if ya know what I mean. Muslims tried to 'create their own life' by blowing up the twin towers and beheading Americans. I'm sure Governor Spitzer was trying to 'create his own life' too. And the list goes on....

I'm sure they all felt liberated and empowered too!

I think your being coy-

This post begins with a letter from  Mercy  giving us her " solutions " to some moral/social issues that seem to be bothering her-

IMMEDIATLY the responses and comments in the subsequint post  reference the government and the left-
Geeze cant  people back of the left right left banter ?

I dont particularly agree or disagree with her- and would never thought to even respond to her letter-

Left-right -left-right-left-right
