MINNEAPOLIS (The Borowitz Report)—Many Americans are tired of explaining things to idiots,
particularly when the things in question are so painfully obvious, a new poll indicates.

According to the poll, conducted by the University of Minnesota’s Opinion Research Institute,
while millions have been vexed for some time by their failure to explain incredibly basic
information to dolts, that frustration has now reached a breaking point.

Of the many obvious things that people are sick and tired of trying to get through the skulls
of stupid people, the fact that climate change will cause catastrophic habitat destruction and
devastating extinctions tops the list, with a majority saying that they will no longer bother
trying to explain this to cretins.

Coming in a close second, statistical proof that gun control has reduced gun deaths in
countries around the world is something that a significant number of those polled have
given up attempting to break down for morons.

Finally, a majority said that trying to make idiots understand why a flag that symbolizes
bigotry and hatred has no business flying over a state capitol only makes the person
attempting to explain this want to put his or her fist through a wall.

In a result that suggests a dismal future for the practice of explaining things to idiots, an
overwhelming number of those polled said that they were considering abandoning such
attempts altogether, with a broad majority agreeing with the statement, “This country is
exhausting.”

Another post of contempt.

Quoted Text
Contempt for others is really a projection of one's own perceived defects
onto other people, and then behaving toward them as if those defects were
in fact, theirs. In acting out violently against others, the perpetrator
hopes to deflate their victims from a perceived "better- than -you"
attitude and then he/she can boast about his/her own ability to humiliate.
Evil people feel better about themselves if they can eradicate the "evil"
they believe to be in others.

Ya got me there Cissy.  It's hard not to have contempt for those who opt for political gain
at the expense of the rest of us.

Remember box, based on your psychologist, it is YOUR projection of one's own perceived defects on to other people.  Your contempt toward those "idiots" is really just YOUR defect projected onto others.  That would mean YOUR feeling of being an IDIOT is projected onto others... and then YOU can boast about YOUR own ability to humiliate.
Evil people feel better about themselves if they can eradicate the "evil"
they believe to be in others.

Gun control reduces gun deaths in Schenectady?
The word "will" as in what climate change "will" do is a prediction of future events based on computer models. I'm not an idiot if I don't take someone's imagined future as fact.
I get sick and tired of trying to explain to people how cronyism is robbing people blind in Schenectady, they choose to believe otherwise, although they can't show me one iota of proof, whereas I show them real numbers, real examples, proof of outright lying.
I don't find that humor article humorous.

Gun control will reduce gun deaths in Schenectady.

Absolutely 100% incorrect.

In fact gun deaths and shootings have grown since the SAFE Act went into effect.

Try sending in more government guns, since that has never worked, but hey, at least some decent people will get rich.

And you can show proof that gun control won't reduce deaths in Schdy?
Please provide this infinite bit of wisdom supported by facts!
Do not repeat your claims about the safe act, as that is a generalization.
Prove that it will have no effect on Schdy, as you so boldly claim!

since Schenectady does NOT report all of it's crime, I don't think there would be a fair assessment either way.
I do think, however, that due to the violent society we live in today..... any act of violence would be played out with or without guns....one way or another.
imho

Don't disagree, but someone likes to make bold statements they can't support with facts.
