We do work AND we pay taxes AND we pay the largest chunk of our health insurance premiums and have deductibles and co-pays

What do you want, some kind of prize? I don't work (retired) and in addition to paying your health insurance you also pay for this "freeloaders, socialist/non-socialist" healthcare as well. Therefore  I don't have any deductibles or co-pays. Thank you very much you sap. Keep working, daddy needs a blood test. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Back to the supposed topic of the thread -- "cuts to government services."

How come the same people who complain the loudest about taxes are the first to complain if a government entity cuts a service?   It cost money to deliver services.  Taxes raise the money that pay for the services. If you keep demanding more services than expect to pay for it.

Um, yes DV.  But as you are NOT a taxpayer, you have absolutely no clue whatsoever.

Maybe someday, you will save money (that YOU earned as opposed to your two mommies leaving you their house) buy a house, pay a mortgage and pay taxes and live in a neighborhood outside of downtown.  Now, DV, when snow plowing is reduced, potholes go unfilled, streets don't get paved, police are reduced, fire stations closed, and your tax bill goes up because some millionaire political cronies are exempt from paying taxes on their for-profits, maybe, just maybe then you will understand.

But as you are not a taxpayer, you do not experience having to write a bigger check to the government while trying to decide if you will cut back on medication or skip replacing your roof.  But DV, real people living in the city are being forced to make these decisions.

The homeowners have a birthright entitlement to the essential services from the government.  Those stupid UNNECESSARY fancy light poles on Erie Blvd, paid for from taxpayer dollars, do not do ANYTHING for the homeowner who owns a home whether that home is in Hamilton Hill or the GE Plot or any other neighborhood.

And DV, people pay for the assessors office, and since home values have been MASSIVELY FALLING, a citywide reassessment is an ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL, TOTALLY NECESSARY service that needs to be done YESTERDAY, but your beloved mayor and his TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED assessor REFUSE to do a reassessment, claiming the city has no money.

Now tell me, DV, why is it the city has no money to do a reassessment, but the city does have money to give to their millionaire political cronies downtown?

DV, please explain why the city has no money to properly plow the city streets, has no money to increase police staffing or even keep it at it's current level, has no money to pave the roads, has no money to fix watermains, etc, etc, etc, but the city does have money to do super good plowing job in downtown, has the money to replace sidewalks downtown, has the money to cover the tax delinquencies of the metroplex architect Gilmore and his real estate wife board of assessment member wife, and to cover the tax delinquencies of Legere Properties, the tax delinquencies of Marcella, i.e., all the rich political cronies of the mayor?

How is it the city has money to benefit their rich political cronies downtown, but no money for essential services in the neighborhoods?

See, again, I state, you are NOT a taxpayer and NOT a homeowner so you don't have a clue what it's like to have services cut in exchange for you paying higher bills for those services which then puts you in the position of having to decide between replacing your roof while not paying the increased taxes but then you risk having your home seized, of you can pay the higher taxes and live with a leaky roof.

Maybe someday you will grow up and become a normal, self sufficient independent adult, living on your own like normal adult men, and buy a house and pay the mortgage and increasingly higher taxes out of your income from working (as opposed to handouts from your two mommies).

Same old sh*t from you.   Avoid addressing, avoid discussing how reduction of essential services to the taxpayers in the neighborhoods where the taxapyers actually live is a good thing for the city.

Same old sh*t from you.   Avoid explaining how paying higher taxes (in order to give money to the mayors rich political cronies) while having services to the taxpayers reduced is a good thing.

Same old sh*t from you.  Avoid explaining how forcing families with total household incomes of $40,000 pay the taxes of the millionaires is a good thing for the city.  Avoid explaining how the poor paying for the rich is a good thing.

Same old sh*t from you.   Avoid listing what the taxpayers are getting in return for their forced "investment" in downtown.

So, DV, can you tell us services to the taxpayers have been expanded?

Corporate welfare is not a government service, it is shameful.

You fukken corporate welfare preaching dipsticks keep blaming the actual taxpayers for expecting the taxes to be spent on the actual needs of the taxpayers.

You just want to cut services to the taxpayers to fund your corporate welfare schemes.

Well, if it's a lie, then explain why you cheer for McC increasing taxes on the financially struggling homeowners, households with incomes of $40,000 and less paying the taxes of the millionaires and billionaire downtown.

Why do you cheer for making the poor pay the taxes of the rich?

Why do you cheer for forcing homeowners (who cannot afford to make necessary repairs to their own homes) to pay for the demolition of a billionaire political crony of McCarthy?

People are willing to pay taxes to get essential services.   But since when is making the poor pay for the demolition of a building owned by a billionaire an essential service that must be paid by the taxpayers?

Of course, you are not a taxpayer, but tell us, if taxpayers have to pay out of their own pockets to demolish and rebuild a porch on their house, demolish and rebuild a garage, etc. then would you explain why the billionaire Galesi should not have to pay for the demolition of a building he owns?

Why is it the obligation of the taxpayers to pay for properties owned by billionaire political cronies?
