About 3 hours ago, Sunoco on Hamburg St.

CHEER CHEER RAH RAH    Great thing our local governments are spending OUR money on stupid things like tax exemptions for billionaire political cronies downtown, and stupid UNNECESSARY "fancy" light poles on Erie Blvd, and an UNNECESSARY casino.   Stealing OUR money for USELESS NONSENSE instead of spending it on protection for the people

ROTTERDAM - Police need your help finding the man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint Monday night.

Rotterdam Police say just before 8 pm, a man wearing a black mask and coat went into the Cold Springs Fuel and Food Services store on Hamburg Street. Investigators say that's when the suspect pointed a gun at the woman clerk and demanded money.

The suspect fled in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rotterdam Police at 355-7397.

Biggest issue: tough questions from Villano. Forget the crime spree. Blame Villano.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Of course this was and will continue to happen.

This is what happens when someone bucks the system.

But Villano is clearly not a victim here.....he can handle himself.....he knew what he was getting into.

And in all honesty....Villano won't solve the crime issue...........jobs will!

And hopefully, Villano's political affiliation won't throw him under the bus like they did Mertz....cause they seem very much alike. imo

Folks want someone who will stop the government extortion of tax payer's money.

WTF does that mean....government is NOT a religion, nor is it supposed to be....unless you happen to be a worshiper of the
state.....

are you?

I don't work for free and neither do 'state workers'....but I beg the question of their necessity (not just police but the other
offices/influences).......so I'm not understanding your view but to say that you accept all monies extorted from property
owners as 'payola' to their liberty.... is this true?

do we need police?---probably...but for what? you must be very very very specific here unless you wish or don't mind to
become the system's wench.....

I don't mean this disrespectfully but in an honest question/answer discussion

P.S. I only use the police as an example of pawn-ship.....

disclosure: I could never be a police officer because 'justice' would be in the time and place of meeting....

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Actually it is possible that more plentiful and easily available jobs, along with reasonable tax rates, could allow homeowners and businesses to afford security, or even security upgrades, thereby reducing, deterring or compelling criminals to go somewhere else.

Distressed properties of homeowners and businesses are an easy target.

No one is going to stop a crime from happening to you, except you, by your own actions.

Police seldom stop crimes from happening. As it should be.

Profiling, stop and frisk, and other methods are the idea that you can predict criminal intent, and hunt for them before you actually know, that they likely have committed a crime.

Be aware of your surroundings at all times and take necessary precautions to not be a crime victim.

People that are hunted for victimless crimes against the state, certainly might rob you.

But you pay the cops to get rich hunting them, so they don't give a crap about you.

And putting crackheads away costs over $150,000 a year to keep them incarcerated.

Spending more money on police will only further drain the property owners pockets.

The property owners get robbed from both bends.

Rotterdam needs to raise the bar,,,not hire more bouncers......

this should be foundational with a PROPER comp plan....not reactionary with increased police force....

that's what happens....redlining via economic planning and it becomes a dirty money making pit of despair for 'the state' and
it's security force, that seems to always need an increase in $$$$.....

We had better get on the planning ball and not become the new dumping ground for the county.....

because I think that's what a whore is??????

and just why is your description of a dumping ground for county  ???certainly the word you used to describe it is over the top...

and the planning ball is in the hands of idiots....and when you get rid of the top banana (s) maybe, just maybe, things will improve...

you can't have "3 people in a room" making decisions.....as the US Attorney stated in his summary of the corruption going on.....seems like it's more

like a "Mafia" type than democracy......it's been going on too long.....

those in charge of shaking hands aren't in the business of the town's posterity......they are ready to take the $$ and run....
to their compounds/another state or where ever......

Rotterdam- a nice place to live if you have a sh!tty paying service job because we have all the pharmacies and dollar stores
you can afford along with a full menu of fast food as an entree.........you'll never have to leave because this is all you
can afford......it's tacky but we call it home
