I just noticed Albany St was blocked off with police tape near Paige St, anyone hear anything? Someone said there was a shooting.

Just got home about 20 minutes ago, my street blocked off with a police car, had noticed Albany St near Sch'dy St yellow taped. Asked the police to let us on our street so we could get home, asked him if there was a shooting, he said yes.

Schenectady Police responded to an afternoon shooting in the city on Friday.

They say five shots were fired in front of the Lucky Market at 752 Albany St. around 3:30 p.m.

A retired Schenectady Police officer heard the shots and ran to the scene. He chased the shooter, but the suspect jumped into a getaway car and escaped capture.

One man was shot once in the leg. He was taken to Albany Medical Center with what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury.

Police say three surveillance cameras captured the shooting. One was outside of Lucky Market and the other two are city-owned.

I don't think it's just that....I think that NYC is so socialized that it's normal....NYC has TONS of public funded sh!t!!!!!

however, I think NYC tries to make upstate a 'destination for all' including those on services.....

again a human without their own land is a human being supported by the government...

And all the gullible young women who let these NYers set up shop here,I blame them too,if these guys didn't have a warm bed to sleep in,then they would return back downstate. If our local gov, came up with an I D program, stating you had to have lived here for 5 years or more, this may stop, this kind of immigration here, wait til these NYers go to Saratoga,Clifton park glen and other upstate cities only then will you see the gov, take action. With Ebola, coming we most likely will see, what I mentioned happening more sooner!

I actually have a neighbor in this situation. Her home here is her vacation/craft home. When she first bought it she came up a couple times a year. Now we're lucky to see her once a year. She has family who live in Saratoga county who checks in every few months and mow the law once in a while. (The neighbors all mow the front lawn when doing their own yard).

I don't know what she was thinking when she bought the place.

Of course, I know she is not the people you are speaking of.

hbk, there are also a lot of white Section 8 baby mommas as well. I've mentioned it before, DSS gives the ones from downstate priority over the locals for some reason, that's the problem.
