SCHENECTADY - The Schenectady Police Department say they arrested a man after an apparent burglary early Saturday morning.

Officials say 17-year-old Jahaad Ubrich was arrested and charged in connection to a burglary at St. Adalbert's Church.

Police say that at around 4:39 a.m. they were sent to the Church and when they arrived they saw Ubrich fleeing from the area.  After a short foot pursuit Ubrich was taken into custody according to Police.

Police say they found a .22 rifle in the area and determined that Ubrich had used it during the crime.  

Ubrich was charged with one count of Second Degree Burglary and one count of Resisting Arrest.

Sad.   Glad they caught someone so fast.

But cheerleaders claim MP is safe.   And remember, the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job in the city.

And one now avoids the city and goes to church in Nisky

Thank God for the SAFE act, so he couldn't have had a "legal" weapon.

run down.....unkept neighborhood..... trashed houses.........so it' s the city does not have one particular area to clean up besides EASTERN AVE

Schenectady police said Jahaad G. Ubrich, of Lansing Street, smashed a window of nearby St. Adalbert's Church around 4:39 a.m. to gain entrance. When officers arrived, police said Ubrich fled on foot, dropping the rifle and what he had taken - a 12-pack of A & W Root Beer.

Police shortly caught up with Ubrich, and he was charged with second-degree burglary and resisting arrest. He was arraigned in Schenectady City Court and sent to the Schenectady County Jail without bail.

Yes, he was stealing ROOT BEER to sell on the streets.  Have to stop these kids from getting high off of root beer.  Root Beer is the beverage of choice for heroine addicts.  They mix it with the heroine before booting up.

does the church practice forgiveness? or does the church render unto Caesar?

they caught the many addicts or dealers that live in that area....along with many females too.....

supposed to be there for....no wonder the churches are mostly empty except for the bingo games and other
fund raising gambling games....
