Rotterdam central school district STEM campus

might as well get ahead of the curve since technology will usurp brick/mortar old time school systems

GE is right next door, SCCC right up the bike path

Get ahead? Schenectady HAD a technical program. We threw it away, or rather our genius social engineers did, in favor of cramming everybody in one building to make it easier to make everybody the same. We're still doing it. Look how well it works, we just need to get pre-K through grade 14 (SCCC) all in one massive building.

JoeBox, scroll up to where senders says get ahead of the curve. Senders has been on fire lately. I was responding to that STEM suggestion. It is a sore topic for me. I see that Tech Valley High stuff on tv, I remember all the quality in education we dumped. Slightly off topic, yes, but I can't help myself.

Some GRAND plan, loose all your good tenants and have boarded up vacant spaces just like in the city of Schenectady.

The mall is in a VERY tough spot....You already have a very successful Mohawk Commons to the east and you now have Glenville expanding on Rt 50.
Forget about Amsterdam as they have all they need on Route 30. The mall has two anchor stores that are in SERIOUS trouble. If Sears moves to close stores, it will certainly take out the Rotterdam store than the Colonie Center store....let's not mention the disaster that is Kmart. I really don't see ANYTHING short of a COSTCO making it in that location... My prediction is the mall is imploded within 3 years and the site will TRY to re-invent itself as a mixed business/residential area.
