Another later photo of Bigsbee. When I attended this school, 1953-57 the principal was Walter P. Craw. For a 2nd - 4th grader, he was a scary figure. Even the name evoked images of a demon. LOL

One spring day a rumor spread through the playground that a "green man" had been spotted at a house adjoining the playground. The house was on the other side of the fence behind what is now Malozzi's banquet hall (the old gym). Every kid on the playground rushed to the fence hoping to catch a glimpse of the "strange green creature".
