Heard at the donut shop the other day that the cvs at the 5 corners bought up the gun shop and the old dentist office by subway. Some say that cvs is going to expand at that location.

anyone???

And I trust DV, as a member of the towns planning cmte, and thus should be representing the taxpayer (instead of himself or big businesses or scamming small businesses or tax delinquents) will make a recommendation that such expansion is done ONLY if the purchase of Poplizio's property means the money is given to the town/county to pay for delinquent taxes instead of going to FP himself?

Maybe just maybe our town planners will use this project to fix 5 corners vs same old story -it is toooooo expensive

But this area is the gateway to Hamilton hill west so only the best in Rotterdam!

I haven't heard any of this, but the only issue I see is that the Subway is actually right in the middle of this entire area.  That is, unless they're going to rebuild the CVS on the land where it is and extend parking over to where the dentist's office is.  Don't know.

the folks at the donut shop said the access to the drive thru would be 'behind' the subway.

Whether 5 Corners will be fixed up depends on the ability of the state and town to raise the $5-10 million dollars that the various proposals would cost.

I think this a much better location since it is already there.

What about Metrograft and Death Ray? Since this is involves Rt 7 Metrograft money should be used. Stop flushing Downtown where after 10 years and $100 million things are actually worse with these planners in name only.

No, it doesn't involve Route 7.  They'll say that it's the other side of the intersection, therefore, this property isn't officially on Route 7.  Also, it's outside of the specified range for Broadway, also.  All of Rotterdam is.

The nayboobs seem to spend a lot of time in donut shops.  That explains the fat deposits between their ears.

maybe the study of 5 corners will be reread and the issues addressed as part of the construction documents if this is true

which if done correctly will reduce the overall cost of the 5 corners plan

and bring

Who is the "they" ?

No one was promised a roundabout.  No one was promised anything.  It was a study that looked at different alternatives to fixing the traffic problems at 5 Corners.  Ultimately, it made some recommendations but did not  PROMISE anything.
