Rotterdam man charged in pool company break-in

ROTTERDAM — A Rotterdam resident was arrested today in connection with a break-in at Caribbean Pools.
According to Rotterdam police, Jody L. Mayer, 50, pried open a side entrance to Caribbean Pools, located at 1223 Ft. Hunter Rd., on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. He then entered the building, went to the cash register, and stole money from it before leaving the store, police say.
Mayer was soon identified by detectives through the store’s surveillance system recording and was located today.
