Cicero - I didn't miss anything. I guess I just interpreted it a little less literally than you did. I read "parade honors firefighters" not "parade IN HONOR of firefighters."

And I guess you didn't read this either:

"Their efforts were recognized Thursday during Rotterdam’s annual Memorial Day parade. Organizers selected the eight fire chiefs to serve as grand marshals for the parade as a way to thank them and their departments for the flood response."

But really, I could care less. If you want to be heated about the local paper's coverage of a parade and the parade itself, fine. You've got more time on your hands than I do. I'd suggest there are far better areas of this town and county to direct your anger. Hell, I'd even raise question why the paper like the Gazette is covering a goddamn parade in the first place. But that's just me. Vent away till you're heart's content...

Because there is no transparency in ROTTEN-DAM's government process anymore. They are too busy building their empire behind closed doors!!! And anyways the gazetto reporters don't have to do investigative reporting anymore. They have something called a FAX MACHINE!!

Hack - who were the "organizers" that selected the fire chief's?

Fact is, in Rotterdam, everything is politicized.  And this Town Board that is run by former emergency responders took the Memorial Day parade, hijacked it, and politicized it by "honoring" the jolly volley's.  Then the Schenectady County Democrat Party's propaganda machine at the Gazette ran a story about this honoring.

Buffardi being ex military should be embarrassed.  The jolly volley's obviously have more political value than veterans.

The Veterans planned THEIR parade.  The Veterans chose whom THEY would honor.

So quit your bitching and whining and sponsor YOUR OWN parade if you didn't like it.

Again gas from your a$$ is all your words are becuase you still PROVIDE NO PROOF OF YOUR STATEMENT AND CAN'T....YOU MAKE UP SO MUCH BULL$HIT AND WANT US TO BELIEVE IT....SO PROVE IT OR IT'S NOT TRUE!  SIMPLE !!!!

The truth is the truth.  I have no more to say on the issue.

I heard that the vets were left out because it was a form of retribution for them not joining in on the lynching of FDG last fall after the election. Remember when they went on a tirade in order to destroy his reputation for building the monument? Well, they called on the Vets to come down and smack him around. When the Vets refused to become embroiled (and worse yet the Elks honored him with some dinner for his monument) in a political hatchet job, Buffonti, and the Constant Gardner that orders him around wanted to send a message to the Vets: You are all expendable to us.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
