Eight years each- lets say they actually spend 6 years each - thats 12 years @ a cost of about $ 40,000 per year. it will cost a half million dollars to  give these 2 heroin addicts 'therapy'. How much do the cops make in overime?

The money is definitely being spent on incarceration instead of free treatment.

Millions upon millions.

The only reason they started rolling back drug sentences was because it was too expensive
to keep the old people in prison any longer.

who cares if they are addicts.....everyone is addicted to something...caffeine/nicotine/alcohol/food/sugar etc etc......

WHO CARES???.......when they steal....rob....harm their loved ones and strangers to support their habit???....wake up.....keeping drunk drivers off the roads prevents death and injury....

care about the addicts doing the same thing...and ingesting harmful drugs....THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALCOHOL AND DRUGS OF ANY KIND.....regardless  of what beer, wine and whiskey ads are

saying on TV....do you see ads for oxy, heroin, marijuana , coke, crack???....there is no difference whatsover.

So you should care......never say never.....it could happen to you......or someone you love...
