“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan
This whole thread is a red herring .. a stupid attempt by a cowardly lout to create an issue where there is no issue.
First - every individual's contribution to a political campaign that exceeds $100 must be reported ... and I have NEVER had any problem with anyone knowing which campaigns that I gave more than $100 -- or for that matter who have contributed more than $100 to my campaigns. I will continue to attend fundraisers and abide by all legal requirements regarding any contributions .. and guess what -- you can whine and moan all you choose to about it because at the end of the day EVERYTHING that I have done and will do will be 100% legal and 100% ethical and 100% in keeping with my political values ---- and 100% honest.
Second - ultimately one's vote is a secret ballot so there will be no way for some wimpy chimp to prove or disprove anything.
So with all due respect - you know what you can do with your threats and insults ...

I did NOT say that you had a problem with disclosure of contributions. What I am pointing out is that you need to prove you are not a hypocrite. YOUR WORDS are that no one will get YOUR vote if they use taxpayer money to send out mailings. Since your fellow cheerleader for high taxes, your dem buddy Tonko used taxpayers money for a mailing, then, based on you saying that you would never vote for someone who mis-used tax dollars like that, then you should have absolutely no problem whatsoever making a statement that you will not support Tonko in an election for any office, is that correct?
Or are you a hypocrite?
Just saying that you can easily be proven a liar---when you show your support for him.
Tell us DV, what you were really trying to say is that you opppose republicans' use of tax dollars for mailings, but when it's dems using tax dollars for mailings---as did your buddy dem Tonko did, well it's perfectly OK with you if a dem mis-uses tax dollars and you will support Tonko despite his mis use of tax dollars, right?
I see the wimpy chimp has chosen to argue with himself/herself.
