CLIFTON PARK, N.Y.--Sex education, the hot topic tonight at Shenendehowa, where the board of education heard from dozens of parents about whether Planned Parenthood should be allowed to continue to give presentations in health class.
Some parents say it's not the fact that sex-ed is being taught in the classroom, they say it's the approach they disagree with, others are calling on the board of education to reinstate Planned Parenthood back into the curriculum.
"Please reconsider, please have a health and wellness committee come back and reconsider," says Patricia Bini.
More than one hundred people made it a point to come to this Shenendehowa board of education meeting, some in support of Planned Parenthood coming to health classes for grades eight and twelve.
For the meantime, the district has suspended the sex-ed presentations, which have been happening for nearly 20 years.
But some people in the crowd are happy with the temporary decision, specifically the Shen Parents Choice Coalition, expressing their concerns during the public comment of the meeting.

The irony is that while their parents are out fighting over technical sex definitions, their kids are at home watching and listening to this. FYI, it doesn't really get weird till a minute in.....
Second....the point is, the 'parents' were told by their kids about PP's presentation. The 'kids', who are what....12, 13....were appalled. These 'kids' were instructed on sexual techniques...ya know, the 'how to do's'.
Bottom line.....PP is just securing customers for the future. Get 'em young!! Hopefully these kids will walk through the PP's doors for an abortion, birth control, medical treatment for STD's. PP is one main source that is trying to take create a wedge between parents and their children.
