You want to help too??????.....I don't support any monies for politics.....they should have their own money...most of them can afford
it...

I support charities and the like....and rather see people eat than starve...and provide shelter for those who need it...

The American Patriots were not fighting for LESS government -- they were fighting for a VOICE in the government.   They were not anti-government.  They did not object to taxes as long as they had representation in the legislative body that set the tax rates.  They wanted want I and my fellow Democrats  (and I dare to say REASONABLE Republicans, too)  have always wanted a government of the people, by the people and for the people that provided the necessary services and programs of government in an effective and efficient manner.

The NNTP/tea-party movement is neither patriotic nor reasonable.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

"Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government."
-- James Madison

"They are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare.... [G]iving a distinct and independent power to do any act they please which may be good for the Union, would render all the preceding and subsequent enumerations of power completely useless. It would reduce the whole instrument to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and as they sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please."

-- Thomas Jefferson

"Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated."
--Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Albert Gallatin, 1817

DVOR knows the founders. The founders of Poland, England, the Vatican and other despotic places where limited government is foreign in concept.

Oh, and my favorite:

"A wise and frugal government ... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."
-- Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1801

You are obviously IGNORANT of about a lot of things -- including the history of Poland and England -- and to lump Poland, England and the Vatican together with "despotic places" shows either you are IGNORANT or a BIGOT --- or in my opinion .. that you are both ignorant and a bigot.

You are also quite ignorant of American history.    First, Jefferson and Madison may each have written about "limiting the power of" or "balancing the power of" branches within the federal government or of the Federal Government in relation to the States ............   but they certainly took actions that showed they believed that government could have a bold and "not so explicitly written in the constitution role" -- great example was Jefferson's purchase of the Louisiana Territory  and of his using a "military expedition" to perform scientific studies (when no such power was given him in the constitution) .. and I might add to send that expedition - the Lewis & Clark Expedition into foreign soil (thus risking a war with Great Britain) without explicit permission from Congress to send the military onto foreign soil.     (oh -- and before you go completely nuts -- Oregon, Washington and Idaho were FOREIGN TERRITORY during Jefferson's presidency.)

Further -- Jefferson's quotes about a wise and frugal government only serve to bolster my argument --- he wanted EFFECTIVE and EFFICIENT government not smaller or less government.

Oh -- and one more thing ---  Jefferson only represents ONE SIDE of the political thinking of our Founding Fathers .............   George Washington and John Adams and Alexander Hamilton represent the other side --- and they most certainly not enemies of government (as the tea-partiers are) believed that the federal government should play a significant role and held the position that government had the authority to tax and to establish and exercise other regulatory powers.

Personally, I have always held John Adams and Alexander Hamilton in the GREATEST OF RESPECT AND ADMIRATION --- and I believe they were more correct philosophically and in action than Jefferson was.

What was then is not now.
The republics have been overrun with the Empire.
Ben Franklin warned about this very State we are under.
They gave a Republic if you can keep it.
The Republics still exist if we wish to populate them.

The cat is out of the bag. The Alliance Party will be in Rotterdam in the next local elections. Now there will be a third party that gets more votes than the others COMBINED. Bye-bye one party rule! Have they returned the illegal RIDA pay yet?

The Alliance/NNTP should move their dinner to La Famiglia. Vince Riggi would be an excellent emcee. Let the DEM cheer leaders go to Petta's and savor the renaissance atmosphere- lol.
