Obama's nomination armed more Americans then any other time in our history. With the lefts history of gun control laws you can see why Americans would be worried about a bill reinstating the assault weapons ban etc. Many people bought out of fear but almost all of them bought to send a message of "don't even try it"

When US gun companies need a boost in weapons sales, they inform their powerful lobby... the NRA, to spread some
fear among the gun nuts.

Any article about... "Obama takin away our gunz" will increase gun sales by at least 5%.  (Among Conservatives, nothing
sells like FEAR)

Every God-fearing patriotic American should have a firearm --- and be eternally vigilant to fight off the teabaggers/nayboobs when the time comes.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

AMERICA'S  HUNTERS --- Pretty Amazing!

The  world's largest army...America's hunters! I had never thought  about this....

A  blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states  and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There  were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of  Wisconsin.  Allow me to restate that number:

  Over  the last several months
Wisconsin's hunters  became the eighth largest army in the world.

More  men under arms than in Iran.

  More  than France
and Germany combined.

These  men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin,  to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number  pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods  of Pennsylvania and Michigan's
700,000  hunters, all of whom have now returned  home safely.

Toss in a quarter million hunters  in West  Virginia and  it literally establishes the fact  that the  hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest
army  in the world....And then add in the total number of hunters in  the other 46 states..It's millions more.

The  point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion  with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting  -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer.  It's a matter of  national security.

***************************************
That's  why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see  us disarmed.

Food  for thought when next we consider gun control.

Have  A Great Day!!
-------------------------------------
Overall it's  true so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess  the same skills as soldiers the question would still remain, what army  of 2 million
would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed  citizens.

Don't  ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns,
for the sake of our  freedom.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land,
it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto lived in different times.

When the huge Chinese army invaded Vietnam in the '70s, they expected to walk into that tiny country with their
divisions oftrained well equipped troops and teach the Vietnamese a lesson.

There is no substitute for "experience".  The Vietnamese who've been at war with several adversaries for years,
kicked the Chinese troops butt.

I doubt that a well trained, "EXPERIENCED IN WAR" well equipped force would find our local militia much more than
a nuisance.

The US military would be a formidable force that would most likely repulse any invasion force.
However...
Deer hunters and target shooters in America would be little problem to an EXPERIENCED well equipped invasion force.

Most hunters own a high powered sniper type rifle that is of better quality and capable of longer range than the weapons carried by the military.

Today's US military sniper rifles can put a .50 caliber round through the brain stem of an enemy at over a mile, and
do it reliably over and over again.
Today's US deer hunter has a problem HITTING a deer at 300'.

Don't bet your life on it, you would be surprised what a good scope can do on a good high powered rifle. 7mm Rem Mag drop elk at 400 yds a man at 1000 yds. 30 million to 50 million against 2 million it would be like attacking China, you would lose in the battle of attrition. I know all about the 1.5 mile shot by the Canadian sniper but there aren't that many of them snipers in the military.

There are more 50 caliber rifles in the hands of our civilians than in the military. Saying that most sniper rifles are nothing more than tweeked hunting rifles, many are built on the Remington 700 platform. Experience means nothing when you are fighting guerrilla warfare, the advantage will always go to the ones who know the land the best and the ones who can pick the time and place to attack.

America has been in Afghanistan for 10 years and Americans are still getting killed.  Remember, the United States is populated by MANY combat vets that can train and lead the target shooter and deer hunter.
