Obviously bad news for the town. Any idea how much the legal battle will cost?
Doesn't matter how much, there's plenty of money in the Highway Department's budget, and a little extra in Fire District 3 to cover the costs. If worst comes to worst, we can just hold a referendum on another REMS taxing district, then raid it anytime we need money for unexpected legal costs. To hell with the reserve balance, raiding taxing districts is the wave of the future. |

I agree with Cicero -- there should be another vote for the Ambulance taxing district. It was a great idea and should have been approved. |

Interesting that they are seeking to reduce there assesment to 30million when this article states there new building 53 just cost 45million (listed at the way bottom of the article)? Is building 53 in schenectady or Rotterdam? http://www.gostructural.com/ma.....uilding_53-8014.html |

What is most humorous is that this is what Bufarti is campaigning on.
They told us that at the rotterdam lwv's meet the candidates....bufarti showed some sympathy for ge...how they pay taxes and have no services.
So it appears that perhaps bufarti would suggest that schenectady county consolidate all essential services and service ge!
just think about that for a minute folks....it should be a scary thought..............THINK! |

The Paulino/Buffarti playbook says to go in and reduce GE's taxes yet doing so will shift the burden to the homeowners so no matter what rate the tax increase or decrease is next year, the taxes will skyrocket. The problem is that the average person does not understand how taxes are levied. And democraps prey on that stupidity. |

I am a realist.....under my care ONLY YOU MATTER when I am in the room.....and believe you me I am really really really good at what I do.......I can make you feel like the only person on earth that has private duty......and I even know my sh!t.....after 22 years you bet I know humans inside and out.....there ain't nuthin' new under the sun....and I know EXACTLY what I will be in old age... something that the general public should be exposed to daily....dont fear it..... as for the teachers and their 'specialty'....that was politically attained through an ENTIRE generation......THERE IS NONE MORE EQUAL THAN ANOTHER....how about plumber of the week? they only sell sh!t that taxpayers 'purchase'......a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.....let the union 'fix it'.......GET OFF MY BACK |
