Glenville's senior center offers food but not with town employees. NOPE!! It is all done by Catholic Charities. Glenville's senior center is far more superior in every way!!!

It's $15/year for residents and $25/year for non residents. And what do they do with that additional $10? They give it backto the town to help offset taxpayers expenses. And there are a ton of non-residents that go there!!

Rotterdam's senior center should be shut down!!! The building in antiquated as well as it's 'leaders' and mindset. Time for a change! The boomers are headed to Glenville!!!!!!!!!

Catholic Charities can be very helpful in the area of elder care-giving..........I know this for a fact........as to the Rotterdam Senior Center........I'm a senior and have never been there...........don't plan on going................I think the mall may the Senior Center annex btw.......check it out in the a.m........the natives are getting restless in town.......

There are MANY folks who do use the Senior Center .. and keeping it open for them is well worth the money.  We are actually quite happy that the whining Nayboobs don't come --- they would just spoil the pleasant atmosphere.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

One of the rules that the Sr Ctr has in place

No one but a Town resident can join the Sr Assoc....some non-residents expressed concern because they would
want to go to Christmas parties and other events and the answer was "NO you are not a town resident"

Just goes to show you how closed and selective this Town is.  just like the Forum held, fundraiser, etc.,

Kudos to Glenville....most other Towns have it together by working together.

Rotterdam is part of Schenectady County and that should be the all that is needed to go to Sr meetings and
events.....

It has become a gossip center full of BS led by ONE   or maybe two

Actually that rule is for the SENIOR ASSOCIATION --    the Senior Association and the Senior Center are two distinct entities.

Well get your FACTS straight and don't blame the SENIOR CENTER for a rule set by the SENIOR ASSOCIATION.

Rotterdam will have a new multi-generational community center by 2020 --- and in the meantime we will be working to EXPAND the programs available to Senior and Youth and to every age group in between.

I am dead serious!!!!!!

Glenville's center is amazing!! And it is non-political!!!! It offers 100x's what rotterdam does. The building is beautiful and clean and modern. Catholic Charities handles the food so there is no bull crap. All recreational activities are filled to capacity.

They are a FULL SERVICE senior center. AND IT IS FILLED WITH BOOMERS!!!

Again...rotterdam's building is old and antiquated as is it's 'managers' and it's ideas!

And just compare glenville's senior budget against rotterdams.
And then compare the services!
It's mind blowing!!!
