It would be a pleasure for anyone to work here. We have been at many functions and they are great!! It is one of the few places left in rotterdam where folks who took skating lessons there are now taking their grandchildren.

Hmm. Maybe the administrator should start charging for ads - help wanted, for sale, misc ... think of the possibilities.
Actually, I think that doing it for free, as something to help the community, would be the better bet. Maybe a specific area on the site to do this? People could also come on to advertise sales, either at businesses, or garage sales. Be another reason for people to come to the board.
Nah - advertisers should pay ---- and advertisers who are Republicans should pay at a higher rate.

Well I guess I should have known better than to try and spread some good news on a PUBLIC forum to the biggest bunch of complainers I have ever come across. I thought, quite stupidly it seems, that I would share with all of YOU the fact that I am hiring. I thought perhaps one of YOU were a single parent in need of extra income. I thought maybe one of YOU knew a teen who's parents can not afford to buy him or her a new pair of pants or pair of shoes for school, or maybe can't go on a school trip because they just don't have the money. I have no need to advertise on here, quite the contrary. If I had to pay to advertise on here, I would still do it. I tried to reach out...I guess I reached the wrong bunch of people.
To those of you who put nice comments about the rink on here, thanks very much. None of you know how much it means to me and my staff to hear nice things about our facility. If you have anymore unkind words for me, save your breath. I have never responded to any of it and I never will. Except for this one time, where it was truly hurtful, and most assuredly, unnecessary. Sue, we really do appreciate the news that you bring here and are happy to hear that business is doing well enough that you now have extra opportunities. Maybe some of the people on here would do better if they DID get out and get a job. Maybe they're just well enough off that they don't need it. Maybe they're just going to complain no matter what happens. Rollarama looks so much nicer, and is now looking to add jobs to the local economy because of supply and demand. Continue the good work, and I hope something happens with the old Grand Union over there and is able to bring you more customers. This has got to be one in the record books marked as "success" for the town of Rotterdam and for the Hamburg St. Merchants Association.
