State Police report there were two burglaries around south western Rotterdam area yesterday (Tuesday), one on Rynex Corners Road at around 1pm, and another on Scotch Church Rd.  They broke in and took laptops and jewelry.

Police think there are two cars involved, a gray Prius and another sedan-type with a middle-age couple in it. Be on the lookout!

mmm .. must be the "bad element" spilling over from Princetown, again   (but on the bright side .. if they were driving a Prius ... at least they were helping to save the planet)

Funny I don't know of any bad elements in Princetown other than the animal abusers that operated a Rotterdam pet store.

Lots of bars are being held up in downtown Albany too. Not likely they are coming from Princetown.

An increase in crime has to do with our miserable economy and lack of jobs.

Actually, I know some folks (back in my high school days) from Princetown who were the "bad element".   Don't kid yourself  -- just because it is rural doesn't mean that the folks are all goody-two-shoes like on Mayberry RFD & the Andy Griffith Show.

RPD should check the hospitals and body shops for injuries and automotive damage due to rock salt

What I find hilarious is how folks blame robberies on the bad economy. REALLY???

Tell me how many sane minded people would break into someone's home and steal jewelry and laptops?

That is a delusional mind thought. It just gives the scum bags ANOTHER excuse!!! imho
