The recently completed BOA Study will provide assistance to Rotterdam Junction as it faces the task of rebuilding. I had conversations with the people who are preparing the final report (which was delayed in being presented to the board due to the floods) and was assured that the report will include information about grants and other programs that will help businesses and residents rebuild in Rotterdam Junction.
The Junction has always been a good place to live and - despite Irene and Lee's intervention - Rotterdam Junction WILL SOON BE a GREAT PLACE to live, work and own a business. |

There have been public meetings in the Junction in 2010 and 2011 --- ALL the property owners in the study area received mailings about the study .. and a number were directly contacted. So the residents of the Junction are aware of the B.O.A. Study.
There is also a link to information about the B.O.A. study on the town website.
Long story short - the BOA study will enable Rotterdam Junction to apply for federal, state and private grant monies which an be used for economic development, infrastructure improvements, facade grants and a number of other programs. |

THAT is the BOA study that I have been speaking of -- and the Canal Corp is only one of the "key players" in the plan. The BOA report --as I stated yesterday -- was supposed to be delivered to the town board at the end of the summer -- but due to the floods -- the report has been delayed. |
