Ps TO DVOR

And...definitions of whatever it is your trying to shove down my throat....I have no use for..

Common sense and truth is what matters to me.   I am not a traditional poltician...just a citizen with
true interest in my neighbors.......nor does it matter if one is a DEM REP or whatever.

What Rotterdam needs is DIVERSITY ...that would bring about impartial government.

OF COURSE DIVERSITY IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW OR CARE ABOUT.

The truth is what I project and what comes first in my character....as well my belief in my faith..

Basic definitions are basic definitions -- not a matter of opinion --- students in elementary school social studies are expected to understand them  .............. the definitions are NOT  debatable or optional.

The definitions are NOT partisan and   sayng that  someone who received 60% of the vote got a MAJORITY of the votes has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with diversity or faith.

Your bull sh*t comment that I don't believe in diversity just proves how ignorant you are.   My bet is that you are one of the "pool partiers"  ... who still harbors hate for good and decent people like Tony J, Diane M. and myself.    My advice to you and the rest of the pool party -- if you want to continue to fight --- stick your heads back up your asses and  fight for air.  I am through talking with you.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

Example: Town Budget Process
 The town clerk of a town has to submit a tentative budget to the town board on or before September 30 (or on or before October 30 for towns in Westchester and Monroe Counties).
 A town board has until November 20 (or December 20 for towns in Westchester and Monroe Counties) to adopt the budget.
 Accordingly, towns in counties other than Westchester and Monroe have more than 6 weeks to enact a local law that overrides the tax levy limit (which local law has to be upon the desks or tables of the town board members for at least 7 calendar days, excluding Sundays, unless there is a message of necessity). Towns in Westchester and Monroe Counties have nearly 6 weeks to pass such a local law.
 As is required for all local laws, the proposed local law that overrides the tax levy limit is subject to a public hearing on five days notice, unless a local law prescribes a different notice requirement.
 See attached charts entitled “Timeline for Tentative Town Budget that Requires Tax Cap Override” and “Timeline for Tentative Town Budget as Amended by the Town Board that Requires Tax Cap Override.”

If you make stupid comments like --  Diane M only got 60% of the vote so she didn't get a majority --- then you shouldn't be surprised if someone actually calls you on it and corrects you.

The fact is that you and the others make a lot of stupid comments that are factually incorrect --- and expect that everyone is just going to believe you and go along with it.    That is why you folks have 0 credibility  and why calling you ignorant is not malicious --- it is just plain telling the truth.

Public Pension Liabilities, Debt Loads, and Retiree Health Benefits Are Issues With a Long-Term Time Horizon.
More state and local governments enacted significant modifications to improve the long-term sustainability of their retirement plans in 2010 than in any other year in recent history.
In the past few years, nearly two-thirds of states have made changes to benefit levels, contribution rate structures, or both; many local governments have made similar fixes to their plans.1
While pension obligations are legally binding, often backed by explicit state constitutional or statutory guarantees, states are generally free to change any provision of their retiree health plans, including terminating them, because they do not carry the same legal protections. Therefore, it is misleading to combine unfunded pension liabilities with the unfunded retiree health benefits as an argument for impending pension meltdown.

Many folks, especially the boomers, are uneasy about the confidentiality now in the rotterdam town clerk's office. They are wondering if there is a way that they can circumvent that office to apply for their star exemption....and even their medical parking tags.

Well, if you live in Rotterdam, but work in another city / town around, couldn't you go to that town's clerk to get the approval?  I don't see why not, it's still an official who is allowed to give the permission, isn't it?
