Actually it is rumored the NNN slobs will NOT show up -- they were afraid to attend the Senior Citizen "Meet The Candidate" forum and are afraid to attend tonight......I don't blame them since they want to turn the clock back to a much darker day in America where women had no rights and minorities were enslaved by Jim Crow...THAT will be found out by the voters..

It should be an interesting forum -- the Re-Unite Rotterdam team will all be there ... people are still taking bets as to whether Frank DelGallo and Brian McGarry have the guts to actually show up this time.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

The   NNTP (nattering nayboobs and tea partiers) candidates didn't exactly impress anyone tonight.  McGarry proudly announces that he is "talk radio junkie" .. THAT ADMISSION doesn't impress anyone and - if anything - should scare people.   Rotterdam does NOT need a town supervisor who gets his advice from nuts like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.

Abbot and Costello .. oops Marchinkowski .. their responses to the questions were to say the least lacking.  After 4 or 5 months on the campaign trail .. one would reasonably expect that they could have come up with even 30 seconds of some kind of coherent idea or proposal to suggest they were serious candidates for public office.  Why should anyone vote for two candidates who didn't seem to know the issues and admitted they would have to wait until they were in office to learn more ????????????????

Supervsior DelGallo showed up but basically said that he is still figuring out what he is doing in Town Hall (which is exactly what most voters are thinking_---

Cooke and Doriguzzi were noticeably absent .............. which is par for the course for the former --- I don't know the latter too well so I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

Then you had Tomaselli talking about his family but not about the issues and Villano threatening to throw residents into jail for not fixing up their houses or lawns.   Imagine that -- some elderly grandmother being hauled off to jail by the GOP if she couldn't cut the grass.

and where the heck did the GOP town clerk candidate think she was at --- chewing gum and slouching over -- you think someone would have taught her by now how to behave in a public setting.

MV said he "does a pretty good job" because he got a raise!  Ajello informed us he was a first born Italian/American cashing in on Rotterdam's ethnic profile.  WC & TJ Hooker gave us their full blown resumes including what Church WC belongs to.  People were glad that TJ Hooker "sat" in his chair, rather than use it as a soap box to lecture from.  Great that your candidates were so perfect, yet the incumbents are associated with some of the highest taxes in the country.  DM proved she can read well from a prepared script, impersonal at the least.  Your gang, with the exception of Ajello, looked like a retirement party, not a political party!

Good that they are worried about Rotterdam being a "Nice Place to Live" because that continues to erode away under their leadership.  It's also interesting that your astute critique is coming from someone that has no vested interest in the Town since you are not a property owner and have no legal requirement to pay County, Town, or School taxes!!!!!!!!!!

WOW

Gazette biased in their reporting.

HB  secretive ...he hasn't gotten his orders yet...    and looking forward to a new Police Station

Calder remarks.....running the Town is  not running a business    better profit than loss.......and what does that
prove?  we don't sell tires...what a comparison...wants a new Police Station.....with retail on the side ????

FDG is in the right track.....and he truly believes that there has been overspending....  employees have to give more..... it's about productivity and not about a country club .

These employees should work in private business....government is a cake walk.
Gentleman's Club plus ONE     ..their platform is all for show....

I'm voting for the guy that works for Price Chopper and got a raise.  If he got a raise working for Price Chopper, he must be good.TIC

First -  there is no requirement that a person own property in order to exercise their Constitutional rights .. I know that you  NNTP/tea-partiers have always wanted to drag America BACKWARDS ... and now it is apparent that you want to drag us back into the Middle Ages/Dark Ages when only the "landed class" had any rights.

Second - you have no clue what the legal and financial arrangements are within our family .. and it is none of your business .... suffice it to say that I do OWN property and DO pay taxes
and I will continue to exercise my Constitutional rights to free speech and to vote .. and if you or any other nayboob tries to stop me from exercising my Constitutional rights -- you'd better have an army with you because I will defend those rights by every legal means possible ... including my Constitutional right to bear arms.
