More renaissance news!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Of course the past several years of GOP/NNN rule has decimated our policing capabilities. What would you expect. I am only in humble awe of God that he has spared us even greater harm to our seniors from the Nayboob cuts. The residents can thank John Mertz and Steve Tommasone for this latest outrage. Their police commission destroyed the morale of the First Responders across the town. We need a new Public Safety building soon and we will need 12-20 more officers on the force as soon as we can build our tax base enough to afford them. It is a matter of life and death.

well, if we keep feeding the masses at the DSS and city keeps pushing them out, where do we think they go...certainly not to mow your lawn, do your laundry or work at mcdonalds, walmart or BK..
and anyhow back in the day I thought the large police force was to help with the union issues in Schenectady's glory days?

I agree that some of the problem is due to the 'undesirables'. But we do have to recognize that some of the problem is due to the economy. This isn't just exclusive to schenectady county.

HOWEVER....being that schenectady 'knows' that it is the breeding grounds for folks who have expensive addictions and house most of them in the many municipal housing facilities, one would think that they would have stepped up police enforcement once the economy went south TWO years ago!!

It is understandable that we can't prevent every scum bag from committing a crime.....but stepping up security in banks (trustco) and in neighborhoods perhaps would curb some of these incidences. imho

The banks dont actually have money....it's all virtual.....eventually the greenback will only be useful as contraband on the streets.....the economy is morphing and there are ALOT of folks that dont know what it is becoming....and dont know
how to fit into it....just like the US postal service has to morph....little late on that organization.....were we caught off guard?......police enforcement stepped up? yeah, all those unemployed can fill those positions just for fun....you have to be
cut out of a certain cloth to be one....and what is the definition of security? this isnt going to be fixed soon. the banks can fend for themselves....they live on the internet now...out on the cloud and in the dream...virtual trade....much of
the populace wont get this and tangible items will always be sought because street trade wont have 'legal tender' without the virtual value of the virtual trade....

the banks have enough money for the addict's next hit. So do corner stores, jewelry stores and gas stations.
