someone I know who is in town/county politics told me that there is reason to believe that there are private investigators trailing some candidates and looking into their personal lives and connections.  Has anyone else heard this or have reason to believe it might be true?

Yeah, well it makes me wish I was running for office if that is true. It might be fun. But I wouldn't put any stock in democrap intimidation tactics. They are famous for making themselves look to be so big and bad via a rumor machine that would make any teen girl blush. I heard someone DID recently send little, dirty threatening notes to a potential candidate for office recently. He got pretty shook up too. But this is probably not an avocation for the thin-skinned.

another pile of bunk. The only guy to ever have the FBI after him was James Constantino. And he went down. DM was famous for trying to make the republicans look like the bad guys on TV, then latter on they somehow had Dem. Mr. Gordon remove his name from candidacy, and JC went to jail. So it was the DEMOCRAPS who got in trouble but they SPUN IT so the GOP took the heat! Pretty cute.
