There are several sections of billboard and currently it reads "LAND OF THE FREE" on one section and "HOME OF THE BRAVE" on another. There are a few blank sections yet to be completed.
This sounds like another jingoistic tea party thing which if I am not mistaken would be to rile up people against the progress that is being made by our political leader on jobs, the environment and the economy. Instead of slogans and obstruction, and hurting women and children and families the tea party needs to back the political leaders who are on a good steady course of moderate change and conservative spending and improvement. Destroying the credit of the country was a negative step that the tea partiers did not need to do but did because of the presidents race. We don't need any more and other women I know are taking a stand. There WILL be another million mom march and I know the right political leaders will be involved to back that. GG

That's why they will be voted out. Our elected leaders are delusional. They actually believe destroying the economy and creating a larger welfare state is progress. Expanding the bureaucracy is the goal...Whether you are working for the system or are collecting from system; it doesn't matter, as long as you are some way dependent on the government for your livelihood.
These next local/state/national elections between now and 2012 are not going to be democrat vs. republican, but rather the citizens vs. government bureaucrat... Party affiliation is irrelevant.

The erection of these panels are for the ten year remembrance of 9/11. It is being erected by Doug Thorpe from the Town of Princetown, adjacent to Princetown's Town Hall. When the tragedy occurred ten years ago, Doug felt the need to build the Memorial. Part of the wall are the original panels that people left messages on, and part of the wall is new for people to use for current messages. The Memorial Service is at 12:00 noon this Sunday (8/21). A large tent has been ordered in case of bad weather. Doug asked me to extend an invitation to any and all that may be interested in attending. Military will be there, and vocalists will sing patriotic songs. Speaking of which, if any teen aged vocalists would like to sing God Bless America, you can get in touch with Doug at 858-5963. Afterwards there will be refeshments served in Town Hall, apple crisp and soda. The story is unique in that the landowner has allowed him use of the land, Carver is bringing in crushed stone for handicap access, Empire paving is going to roll out the stone to get a smooth surface, Dabs helped set the posts and erect the flag pole, another businessman is donating bottled water for the attendees. A true community effort.
Again, everyone is invited to attend, sounds like it will be a very patriotic event. Kudos to Doug for his efforts, patriotism, and generosity regarding our invite. And he is looking for a singer for God Bless America . . .
