Oslo Explosion: One of Two Blasts Result of Massive Vehicle Bomb, Sources Say
At least one of two explosions that rocked a Norwegian government building in Oslo today was result of a massive vehicle bomb, according to U.S. government sources on the scene.
The tangled wreckage of a vehicle was seen near the Norwegian government building that was targeted in the blast, officials said. It was not clear if the car was a bomb vehicle or near the site of a blast. At least one explosion was the result of a massive vehicle bomb, U.S. government sources said.
Norwegian news reported at least two people were killed and several more were injured.

Gaddafi Threatens To Take War To Europe Friday, July 01, 2011
Undaunted by the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity a defiant Muammar al-Gaddafi on Friday threatened to take the war to Europe.
The strongman from Libya warned that he will attack homes, offices and families unless NATO halts its airstrikes. Gaddafi delivered his threat via a phone message played to thousands of supporters gathered in the Green Square in Tripoli.
Previously Gaddafi sponsored terrorist groups and has been implicated in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
He called on his supporters to march on the strongholds of Libyan rebel and to take the arms given to them by the French.

Kadafi again threatens to attack Europe with suicide bombers

Norway is involved with the Libya mission although they were going to withdraw August 1st, my guess this is retaliation for being involved in this operation.

UPDATE 5:22 p.m.: Police say the gunman is a Norwegian.
Witnesses described the suspect as "blond" and "Nordic-looking." Late Friday, Knut Storberegt, Norway's royal minister of justice and the police, confirmed that he is a Norwegian; the BBC, citing police, said he was from Utoya. Police said he is also believed to have been involved in the bombing that killed seven people earlier in the day in Oslo, about 25 miles away.

The alleged shooter in the Norway attacks has been identified as a Norwegian national.
Norwegian "TV2" reports that he belongs to "right-wing circles" in Oslo. According to "Expressen", he has been known to write on 'RIGHT WING' forums in Norway, a self-described nationalist, and has written several posts critical of Islam. On his facebook account, he describes himself as having Christian, conservative views. (HUH! Sounds just like one of our own local Right Wingers!)
There's a big difference between disagreeing with someone over values and going out and killing those who disagree with your point of view. That guy is mentally ill because no person in their right mind could do what he did to those innocent people.
