Cissy you think bob should be in office???????? REALLLY!!!!!!!!????

You said he shouldn't go out in public anymore...And your fellow brown shirt seconded the motion.  Pretty extreme language leveled toward a lifelong democrat that has spent his time and money supporting the party...All because he challenged the party bosses.  Sounds like they are strong-arming their own committee person and making him an example so other committee members don't get any ideas of straying off the reservation.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Has nothing to do with party....has everything to do with not taking the best interest of the public to heart...who cares about party? If you can do a good job great...if you can't go away!!!

"Best interest of the public" is a pretty ambiguous statement.  Isn't "the public’s best interest" a debatable issue?  That's like the phrase "general welfare" or "common good"...All ambiguous phrases that are debatable in a democracy, in order to define what exactly the "best interest", "general welfare" or "common good" is.  Accept obviously in the Schenectady County Democrat Party, where debate and a primary are looked at as threatening and party leadership destroys the person that attempts to raise debate.  Only one opinion matters, all others must be destroyed.

No...it is debatable when someone argues one side or the other that they have the best interest of the public at heart...when 1 refuses to engage or refuses to deal with issues they objectively do not have the best interest at heart

So he should ever show his face in public?

I'm not a democrat or republican, but I've seen Bob G at Town Hall Meetings, and he used to RAIL against the Tommasone Administration often...And it always seemed as if his line of questioning toward the Board was in the best interest of the Town as a whole.  Bob has always been known to hold a public debate and hold politicians feet to the fire.  So your allegations run counter to his public persona.

Though he didn't win the Democrat Primary, he did garner quite a lot of votes-nothing to sneeze at.  I wish him luck on the independent line.

I suppose Mr. Godlewski had the best interests of Mohonasen SD taxpayers at heart -- when he insisted on trimming the size of the swimming pool project .. thus rendering it basically unusable for the swimming competitions that it was intended to be built for.

My general impression of the man is that he doesn't work well with others, doesn't think he needs to work with other people, doesn't think he needs the knowledge and wisdom of other people, thinks that he is never wrong and he behaves like a ruthless bastard towards anyone who doesn't bow down to him and kiss his ring.

I wouldn't even trust the guy to take care of my houseplants while I was away --- let alone take care of my town.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

My general impression of the man is that he doesn't work well with others, .

i'm not a fan of bg....but let's give the devil his due here. He has been a hard working foot soldier for the dems for decades!! And the democons have endorsed him every time.

So the only conclusion that most rotterdamians are coming to terms with....is that agree with bg or not.....HE HASN'T CHANGED...............the dem party HAS!!! Everyone knows that bg has been a great puppet for the democons puppet masters!! Obviously not any more. So he must have a legitimate good reason. I wouldn't vote for him....but as it goes in the rotterdam dem party...bg seems to be on target and the straight shooter.....one of the 'real dems' if you will. imho

Gee...He's been a democrat a looooooong time...Not to mention endorsed as the democrat candidate by the Democrat Party multiple times...Hmmmmm...What has changed inside the Democrat Party that has suddenly soured on Bob G?  All those years of party loyalty for naught.  Could it be his wasn't willing to give the town away to the emergency responders?

He who is unmentionable would indeed fit in delightfully with the Hitlerite party that is attempting to use hateful politics to take over our town. I say that we take up a collection to buy a ticket and send Mr. G. straight to Siberia where the weather is colder than his own heart.
