We need to prepare for the future NOW.....

1. senior centers will not be used by boomers
2. libraries will become tech centers as media changes
3. seniors SHOULD NOT BE SEGREGATED/HIDDEN AWAY and used as podium pucks


close the center and move forward....the future is coming and the generation is changing.....let's take care of our 'house work' first .....
....the new media will take over for 'bingo' and 'trips'.......

Senders makes some very valid points. Meanwhile back at the County legislature the DEMS continue to plan for a wasteful EXPANSION of the Downtown branch. National architects have all panned the horrible futuristic plans. There is also talk about a separate taxing district like in Albany. Just what oppressed homeowners need another surcharge on record property tax bills? SS Savage ravaged the Library Bored before blasting off. It will take years to undo her damage.

Why would you kill the mothers?  I'm missing your sarcasm.  Do mothers die if they carry full term?  I thought the mortality rate for the mother giving child birth was very very low.  Maybe a lot of women's lives are in danger from pregnancy complications that I wasn't aware of.

The library board hasn't moved forward into the new technology.  and when the board puts forth a 'library' when in all reality it will no longer
be that...the leaders needs to step forward and lead the folks out of library talk and into the new. THEN let the folks decide. Who will pay for the
access to the media? the renters? the wic? the food stamps? the small welfare tax?

Are yo people nuts?  Didn't fdg just put in a new Kitchen?  Yes.  Turn the center into an intergenerational center--that will work for everyone.  Why doj']t you folks stop working harder and start working smarter.

Because it's FLUFF N STUFF.......it's old and dilapidated....close it....let's do our chores FIRST....then we can talk community center(without name plates or
