That is an out and out LIE!! You would be amazed at exactly who my friends/family were that attended that meeting. Perhaps they belonged to the folks who 'hosted' it....perhaps??? Perhaps they had a 'hidden' voice recorder...perhaps?

If you are the poster child for the local liberal socialists, then rotterdam, and even perhaps the entire county, better NOT vote a dem candidate into office. Cause they don't know fact from fiction!!

Mr Littlefield and Mr McGarry were present at that event -- Mr. Mertz was NOT present at that event -- and there were fewer than 10 people in all in the room .. and there were no other Democrats there other than myself.

And I am neither a liberal or a socialist .. I am a registered Democrat who is ideologically conservative when it comes to foreign policy, social issues such as abortion and immigration, and certainly when it comes to economic policy.    

McGarry and Littlefield are so far off in the extreme right-wing fringes that they are out of touch with reality. ...  and that is why the TRUTH must come out about McGarry's political agenda.  The voters will not go for the "scorch to earth" policies that McGarry wants to implement.

Actually, I think Andrew Cuomo at the state level and the Democrats in Schenectady County have done a great job cutting spending, eliminating wasteful spending and balancing the budget  -- and none of them are "right wing extremists".

The FACT is that McGarry wants to eliminate the police department and obliterate town services -- and tear up contracts with civil service unions.     He doesn't have a clue how to govern in a reasonable and effective way.

So, it's been 3 months since they "began negotiations" to acquire this property.

Any update on what's happening?

Elimination of all police and ambulance services as advocated by the GOP (Goats Over People) is nothing short of a sharp razor at the vulnerable throats of those who can least afford to lose protection---the frail and aged senior citizens of our community. The individuals who for one reason or another march to the beat of the Hitler drum will certainly be held accountable by the voter AND the First Responders in our community, all of whom are dedicated to REUNITING ROTTERDAM! Those who wish to remain as obstructionists can DROP DEAD.

Just who do you think voted down the Ambulance tax district, it was the frail seniors who are sick and tired of paying high taxes.

McGarry is running on eliminating services period --- he doesn't believe in consolidation or sharing services -- he doesn't believe in intermunicipal cooperation .. that is why he was such a failure on the IDA.

I am not running for public office .. so I am under no obligation to tell you what I believe or don't believe.

There are many of us believe that consolidating with the city would be an expensive disaster for the towns especially since the city is being run by incompetent fools.

If the municipalities were consolidated -- there would be elections for the new leaders -- so there is no guarantee that the current office holders would be the office holders in a consolidated  city-county.

and -- many people don't share your ill-informed and pessimistic opinion about the current leaders
