Look, when you publicly pronounce a Lenten sacrifice (in this case forgoing the temptation to come on this forum and argue and debate) then you show up and say "I am only here to debunk mis-truths...etc" then you have broken your pledge of a Lenten sacrifice. I could care less, because that is between a man and God. BUT- in the first place the idea of a Lenten sacrifice is personal or so it would seem, and in the second - when you wear your heart on your sleeve and then publicly proclaim what your sacrifice is THEN GO OUT AND BREAK YOUR LENTEN PLEDGE -PUBLICLY- aren't you really showing badly in the eyes of all of those who you proclaimed it to?
The whole idea is that you FORGO the temptation to respond or to strike back verbally or in words on this forum. It was DemocrapicVoodooRepeater who came out and made this proclamation, and generally it sounds like this: "I am giving up Ice Cream for Lent. Ohh, but that hot fudge sundae looked soooooo good, I HAD to have a taste!"
As for Lent - I am still giving up this board -- but certain untruths needed to be addressed and some people private message me here .. so I needed to check that out. .

DV simply wants to be praised by his masters who have him here at their instruction to defeat any sort of resistance to the one party rule dictatorship that pervades our country presently. His phony Lenten sacrifice that he proclaimed didn't hold up so well, and temptation made him give and come out here using the satire people posted as an excuse. Excuses, excuses.

I am positive we haven't seen/heard the last of him before Easter. I can kinda understand the excuse to defend untruths (not really)....but how does that tie into the other posts he is doing that have nothing to do with righting personal wrongs on his part......pretty hypocritical!!!! Why would anyone even consider voting for a person like this if he ran for office? You can't rely on his information. You can't rely on his word. You can't rely on him doing anyting he says he will do.......would voters not really see that? PS - Guess this is another personal attack on him so he will again have to break his lent promise so he can respond to my "untruths".
Basically that was my thought too, he has to try to right the alleged wrongs.

MC your point s well taken. But you quoted the one scripture reading that I detest. Fortunately at my Mass each Ash Wednesday, the priest adds "hypocrites in the synagogues AND THE CHURCHES" It isn't so anti-Semitic a reading.

Bear in mind, at that time to the Jew Jesus, there were no churches. Just Synagogues. I don't think it is anti-semitic, it is of the time. As to the spirit of the above comment "call an Assembly and proclaim a fast." You nailed it. When DV calls a press conference to announce his hunger strike, he knows he has 10 cases of Snicker's Bars hidden under the bed.
